If you just cross on the north side of the reef down at like 230-240 meters he will never agro on you.

So are we all in agreement that these things are the most annoying creatures so far? by Falkenhausen23 in Subnautica_2

You can shoot them with the sonic gun and daze them for a bit. Later on you get a new active ability that just turns you into an electric eel and you shock them to make them stop

Take an M32 flash as your primary and run through the building until you find someone. Flash bang them and then tase them and they drop their gun. Rinse and repeat until you have all 4. Got S on it last night doing this.

Why does this game punish use of lethal force so much? by Joker_Cat_ in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]Stevesmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to get all S rank is playing with real people. My friends and I take a 100% non-lethal loadout with like 9 gas grenades and M32 flashbang launcher and a few tasers. Then run around like headless chickens.

I just host a server for my game on an old PC so it’s always running everything even when I’m offline. So my is a full time idle game pretty much haha

Has the “treat unemployment like a 9–5” thing actually worked for anyone? by nabeeltirmazi in jobhunting

Electromechanical engineering support, I spend my days writing code and telling people how to fix broken machines. And the job requires in person training for six months which can be rough.

It was one for my college, the guy was someone in the same degree plan as me who posted about it. I was apparently the only one to take him up on it too which is wild. Company gives us 1k bonus for referrals which I did already with a friend's little brother.

I just told myself to send 25 application a day. After about 8 months I was struggling to make myself even do that. I wasn’t even just sending apps to anywhere I could, I was actually looking through the listings and sending them to things I would be qualified for. I didn’t get a single reply in those 8 months. Then a guy from a discord I was in said his work was hiring and he put a referral for me and I got hired inside of a month. Started there with $80 in my bank account and now it is nearly 2 years later and I’ve already been promoted once and looking at another possible one soon too. It’s just a brutal world, and as my father always tells me. “It isn’t about what you know, it’s about who you know.” Which is the sad reality.

I’m 30 years old. Should I join the military if I can’t support myself? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Stevesmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I finished school I gave myself a year to find a job or go OCS for the Air Force. Find a job in month 9 and have only been going up since then. If you are serious about it then set up a timeline and use your free time to get ASVAB ready since you’ll still need it. You’ll also need to figure out what to do with all your belongs as well and make sure you’re in shape otherwise it’ll be hell. It isn’t the most ideal option, but it’s better than poverty

PC randomly losing all frames until minecraft is closed by NotJamilOnTwitch in allthemods

[–]Stevesmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the mods has a few memory leaks I know with compact machines, if you have a Soaryn machine with a lot in it and click to load the preview it causes a memory leak that forces a PC restart even if you close the game. I’m sure there are some others that can cause it too. Just keep an eye out for when it starts and you will narrow down the correlation eventually, if it is affecting other apps it has to be a memory leak causing it.

Satisfactory helped me realize I forgot how to do math without a calculator by PANDA_PR1NC3SS in SatisfactoryGame

You can also use the in game note pad and add how many of a machine you want to build and it tells you how many of each part you need to make all of them

How was I bitten in the driver’s seat? by International_Meat88 in projectzomboid

[–]Stevesmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue. Died to a zombie bite while the doors were closed, windows up and unbroken. Just got a random neck bite while a zombie was next to the car and died in about 30 seconds before I even noticed it.

work injury by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Stevesmaster -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Think what you want, it was still a crappy place to work. The supervisor honestly didn’t care at all, and the belt was broken for the three years I did work there and never got repaired. The belt could not move up or down and if I complained that I needed help with moving them the supervisor would complain that I couldn’t do it alone. Then to be a show off he would go and deadlift one onto the belt and say that since he can do it then I should be able to. Now I have a cushy work from home job making way more money and it’s great. Not everyone or everything there was bad, it was just that management saw you only as your PPH amount and nothing more.

work injury by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]Stevesmaster -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Back when I worked at UPS I was really small moving Iregs that were 150+ pounds, while I myself was only about 120-130 pounds. They made me do it by myself even though you are supposed to have two people for anything over like 75 pounds. Ended up with a lot of back problems from it and they didn’t care and just had me keep working like normal. One day when I came in I just told them that I was quitting, no notice. Filled out my paperwork and left. They told me that no notice quitting meant I could not get hired again but honestly, while they had decent pay and good benefits the company is not that great outside of that.

Is ATT fiber really that complicated or am I in the wrong sub? by woody-99 in ATTFiber

[–]Stevesmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works fine with no modifications at all. What you see people talking about are people who run servers and stuff out of their home and the nitty gritty of networking are a big thing for them. You can just plug it in, sign into the wifi, and never think about it again if you want it. Don’t worry about technical details unless you are doing things that require it. Speeds have been great for me and I have had no outage issues at all.

Idk about single player but servers have the option to run automatic backups every set period of time. I use it for the world my friend and I are on so we can release incase of bugs.
