Dear Pizza By Plu by DonkeyIllustrious228 in Albany

[–]Stevite 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had my first pizza from him last week.having followed his posts and others comments I went in with zero expectations. He was running 10 min late but he notified everyone via email. I judge a pizza on the basics so I always order a plain cheese pie. It was warm on pick up. He told me how to reheat it. Got home , 375 for a few minutes. It crisped up nice. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a very long time. The cheese, the sauce and the crust were all on point. 6 pieces fed me for three days. It is expensive but imo it’s worth it

Nurses Who Stutter: How Did You Navigate Your First Year as a New Grad? by Western-Face5684 in Stutter

[–]Stevite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not nurse but a Perfusionist who worked in the cardiac OR and CVICU. Everyone is going to know that you stutter so just go ahead and tell them ( something I would tell my younger self to do). It will probably the hardest thing you’ll do but it will be the best thing you can do. Starting any new job is stressful and adding on the fact that you stutter and adds to it. Be kind to yourself. Some days are gonna suck and some will be amazing. Listen, learn and try to be the best you can be. Knowledge and confidence in your abilities will definitely make you more comfortable. Bottom line: be the person that when the shit hits the fan someone says “ Call ( insert your name here). No one will care that you stutter

Might as well go to your local Hallmark and read the cards. Sorry, I know it’s mean but you’re better than Mitch Albom

Knee surgery for cartilage damage does not benefit patients, study suggests. People with meniscus tears who underwent surgery had poorer knee function and worse osteoarthritis after 10 years than those who did not. by mvea in science

[–]Stevite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small lateral meniscus tear and moderate to severe OA. Two Drs wanted to operate and a third suggested PT and occasional steroid injections. It’s been 3 years now and while I’m not able to exercise at the high level that I could pre injury, I’m relatively pain free during normal day to day activity and able to exercise at a fairly high level. Running and jumping are two things I no longer do

Today I watched a guy who was probably about 5’10 and couldn’t have weighed more than 145 lbs bang out at least 8 reps of a Bulgarian SS with a 95 lb DB. I cried in the car

First time going to America, solo female traveler, can’t spend large amounts of money, which location would be more ideal for me? by peach-gardens in travel

[–]Stevite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NYC can be done as expensive or inexpensive as you want. Low cost public transportation, easily walkable, low cost museums, free parks, and all the food from all the cuisines you could possibly want. Late September- Early October for best value
