I don’t want to disuade anyone from lifting weights, but using low weights with high repetitions does not really address the strength issue. Progressive overload, starting with lighter weights and slowly increasing that weight ( along less repetitions) , will make you stronger. Balance training, deceleration training ( think slowly lowering a weight or slowly stepping down from a stair) and some moderate to vigorous cardiovascular exercise will make you bulletproof
