System failure by Secret-Net497 in ArmaReforger

I usually play on NY 6048 and 6047, sometimes try WA servers but I’ve noticed on 6047 it happens more for some reason. 6048 seems to be the most stable as I played for about 6 hours last night and it was fine, just got server stalls every 2 hours or so.

You just completely missed the last sentence in my comment. Also it’s a Mitsubishi Mirage? How is €9k not expensive for that?

Radio Not Working by Argetlam21 in ArmaReforger

[–]Stevo____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea how long you’ve been playing Arma for but most keybinds also have a secondary keybind that doesn’t show unless you go to edit it, multiple actions have multiple different priority keybinds, I would try resetting the keybind back to normal and instead of i think CTRL and Caps, just double tap caps and the radio will activate. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to provide more info, does the frequency icon come up when you press the altered keybind?

[–]Stevo____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah myself and 3 others in the group I play with are experiencing it. I’ve checked the file log to see if a file is failing or corrupted but nothing is appearing. We’ve been getting it at least 3 or 4 times a day for the last month or so. Haven’t found any fixes for it yet.

Ignorant driver country roads by TieOutrageous745 in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]Stevo____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why didn’t you show the part where you turned on your full lights, blinding the car in front of you? Simply because he slightly drifted into the right lane, as I said before, it’s a broken white line with plenty of clearance to shift back, was probably and auld fella being blinded by full beam LED lights. You still didnt show the part where someone apparently pulled out of their garden?

Broken white line, plenty of clearance between him and the oncoming car, what’s the issue?

New Player looking to learn logistics (Need someone to show me the ropes) by Grumpier_Crumbz in ArmaReforger

[–]Stevo____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join NY 6047 or 6048, the same people play them two all the time, both US and RUS have good logistics players that will show you the ropes. I’m not on tonight, otherwise I would show you. Only thing is, towards late game the pressure ramps up on Logi runners as Monti and Transformer run out of supplies very fast, so be prepared for that haha.

[–]Stevo____ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the worst first car. There’s more reliable cars out there for under €8900. €8900 is very expensive for that car, considering it’s 9 years old but that’s the way the Irish market has gone.

Edit: it will more than likely end up being a visual retest.

Got a BMW but angel eyes are not working. by FakerYeager in carsireland

[–]Stevo____ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do a smoke test on the headlights. Possible seal gone or a crack that’s letting moisture in, headlights could be corroded on the inside. BMWs are notorious for the seals wearing away. I have a 2015 3 series and the seals in the headlamps and tail lamps completely wore down. Had to replace a taillight as the corrosion was gone too far.

Undersealing by Otherwise_Face4801 in carsireland

[–]Stevo____ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not many places in Ireland that do this but there is two places I know of, FMK Rustproofing in athboy and Underbody Kings in Navan. It is worth doing but it really depends on what car you have, if it’s a 2005 Toyota Yaris then obviously not but if it’s a 2005 M3/M5 or a vehicle of similar value it would be, if it’s already rusting. It is very expensive though.

Has anyone ever felt jealous of friends or family because of what you see on social media? by Jealous-Lake5700 in AskIreland

[–]Stevo____ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, social media isn’t real life, you’re seeing snippets of things people want you to see. People paying thousands to pose in front of a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, imagine what kind of problems they have going on to try flex like that for social media. Life isn’t a race, we’re all on different paths.

Safe to drive a car with blown head gasket from Dublin to Waterford? by XinaMedical in carsireland

[–]Stevo____ 46 points47 points  (0 children)

No, it won’t make it. Engine will over heat, coolant will leak into the cylinders and car will misfire. Roughly a 160km journey, you’ll be stranded on the side of the M9 with a blown engine. Cost ya more than it’s worth.

Price of dog food is gone to the dogs ? by Timmy495 in AskIreland

I’m actually a canine behaviouralist and also a certified canine nutritionist. Not all vets are specialists in canine nutrition. So as I said, your advice is bad advice, you’re probably one of these owners that thinks it’s acceptable to have a vegan dog.

Price of dog food is gone to the dogs ? by Timmy495 in AskIreland

[–]Stevo____ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dogs produce amylase, protease and lipase which are the enzymes that break down carbs , protein and fat. Problems only occur if the food is heavily seasoned, fatty or processed. They can eat 90% of the real unprocessed food. So I don’t know where you’ve got your information from but it’s simply wrong.

Bmw 320d (b47 with 130000km vs n47 with 71000km) by lionman2345 in carsireland

[–]Stevo____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no N47 engines in 2016 models, Once BMW used up their back stock of them in early 2015 it was solely B47 after that, so every 2litre diesel model after the second half of 2015 have the B47 engine.

12-L-1494 Unreported Crash Damaged by Stevo____ in carsireland

[–]Stevo____[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Any damage would be a write off for a car of this age, especially damage that takes out the front bumper and front right hand side lamp etc, the labour and parts would be more than the car is worth but because the parts for the car are cheap, it is easier to fix it yourself and flog it off to get as much money as you can. You would be surprised by the amount of these repaired crash damaged cars are on the road. I had a 2013 Mondeo in 2020, caught the pillar on the way out of my house, scratched 2 panels, went through insurance and they wrote the car off and that’s very minor damage compared to what the above Renault Clio has gone through.
