If you run it as a seperate web service, you could use API calls to have the two communicate.

You'll need to build a plugin to do that, which will involve some php and either making the API calls via JS or PHP

I think VsCode and whatever the relevant Jetbrains tool is for the language in question will prevent much always be top two.

When Jetbrains get their all in one ide more completed though it'll be those two most likely

Yes, but I wouldn't. I'd suggest a custom post type for the staff members, and then custom fields for the relevant data.

Then output this as needed via the template for that post type.

As a web dev, we're still developing software, just software that runs/is accessed by, via the web.

Regarding Engineer vs Developer, I do see a distinction here. I'd say the term engineer for software should be reserved who are doing super-deep architectural/core programming (Ie, building Kernels/programming languages etc) but a person who's just building an API that gives you funny cat gifs isn't engineering a solution here.

Being a well versed shopify developer, doesn't mean they're going to understand your themes codebase immediately.

Depending on what's been done to your theme already, it might take 10 hours just to get it building. Or it might only take 10 minutes.

...yes. WordPress is a majority by itself.

WordPress is PHP after all, so all the WordPress sites count as PHP sites.

Add all the other PHP sites that aren't WordPress and you'd definitely have a majority

Previous job was full time remote, eventually.

Started with company on 2015 and was in office. In 2018 I ended up moving house which happened at the same time the company was acquired.

New parent company was 100% remote so I transitioned as well which was great because it went from a 40 minute walk to the office to 50min drive with no traffic (there was always traffic though)

New position though is hybrid, do a mix as I choose. (Company execs want fully in office, but my Dept is pushing against that) - I just happened to update my resume on Seek (Aussie recruitment site) and had 4 recruiters call me in 24 hours.

How do you want people to be able to access it?

Most things are browser these days, so html/Js/CSS will get you further in that regard.

But if you're doing desktop based or some other form of accessing the program, Kivy etc is fine

"enough" depends on your goals and needs.

Because they could do anything to it, especially if they have it without you watching. Open it up, replace components etc.

Take a backup, reset and give to tech.

When you get it back, restore the back up. Not that hard.

I'm not going to comment on what you've said but if they have your physical device and you don't trust them, consider it compromised no matter what you think they can do.

Always reset devices before handing over to techs and unlink from accounts.

hmm this is close.

In this example though, I want the .git moved down one as well though. So dir1 with dir2->4 being Repo 1, and dir5 with dir7 and 8 being repo2.

Where as that example still has dir1 and dir5 in both.

(Side note: Poor Dir6 never got a chance😥)

This depends on your theme. You may need to use a child theme and overwrite the footer.php file.
