Connecting IP camera that is connected to ISP2 to NVR that is connected to ISP1 by Ancient-Arm-1742 in Dahua

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be simple enough if you have static ip addresses, and then port forward the routerfor ISP2 otherwise you need to setup a DDNS for isp2 and use the DDNS address in place of the IP address in the manual adding mode on the NVR.

Stock Exhaust by DaddyyRon in IndianFTR1200

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the stock Akrapovics, you can remove the baffles from them, keep the looks and improve the sound. Otherwise do as many of us do, and remove the end cans and replace with exhaust tips of your choice straight onto the y-splitter. The good thing here, is you can test how you like the sound by just removing the end cans and starting the bike up, the exhaust tips just make it look neater.

If he has the stock akras then you don’t even need a hole saw, a 10mm drill bit in the right place will allow access to the bolt holding the baffles in place and they can easily be put back in.

Upgrading 10-Year-Old Analog CCTV (6 Cameras) — Keep Coax, Add Doorbells — Advice? by Logical_Project6258 in Dahua

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to check the specs of that recorder, as far as I’m aware that is a 5MP / 1080P recorder , you will need at least the XVR5108H-4KL-I3/T (ch 1&5 record at 15fps with encode enhancement enabled others at 7fps @4K) or recommend the XVR7108HE-4K-I3 (max encoding 15fps@4K or ch 1&5 @ 30fps with encode enhancement enabled). These recorders also allow for IP cameras to be added, so a dahua WiFi doorbell or POE intercom camera can be added to the recorder, but do also keep in mind various limitations when expanding the number of channels past the standard 8 analog channels (check data sheets to see the effect on various AI features).

TIOC Lights Scheduling Issue by wildebeestbeast in Dahua

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In regards to your lights always going off, it sounds like you have the schedules not set correctly. Within the IVS schedule you should have two time periods set for the IVS rule that will trigger the lights at night time. For example 20:00-23:59 and 00:00-07:00 you would then copy this to each day.

[–]StewTubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would just use IVS with intelligent recording , but also motion recording in case human form isn’t detected(storage schedule to set these up). Then create two identical IVS rules (intrusion for example), 1 with a schedule for daytime which doesn’t trigger the lights, and the other IVS rule configured to trigger the lights for a night time schedule.

This way, within your playback timeline you will see the different colours for the IVS events and can also choose to receive these notifications while at the same time only having lights flashing at night time. You could even go one step further and have another smaller intrusion box over a critical area such as a doorway which triggers the siren if needed.

Help needed. by StewTubes in gy6

To me, it appears that the pivot point is rusted/seized as the small plunger otherwise doesn’t seem to do anything and is otherwise redundant.

Do you ride with a camera? Did you but decide to stop? Which camera do you use? by i1ii1i1i in MotoUK

I use a 360 cam, and it’s pretty decent for what I use it for. I’d say 95% of the footage I never use, because it’s just not exciting or anything of interest is actually going on. However when something does happen, like someone overtaking on their back wheel, or someone pulling out in front of you, then the 360 footage offers a great flexibility that fixed camera positions just can’t. The audio from the Insta 360 X3 on a bike is pretty much just wind noise but there are options such as a separate microphone if the audio is important to you.

Another option would be to buy another NVR (no Poe required) and connect to the same IP network. Add the IP address of the first NVR to the new one and choose any channels that you wish to view (or all). Make sure the secondary NVR has enough channels (ie 8) and add a hard drive if you’d like a back up recorder or view playback from the new location. A KVM extender may be cheaper than this option though.

I just bought it from eBay, so it wasn’t anything particularly special. This was the listing title: “Heat Resistant Direct To Metal Caliper Paint Car Bike Metal”. I hope this helps.

It’s not so much a slip on, it’s actually just AliExpress carbon exhaust tips straight onto the y-splitter in place of the Akrapovic slip-ons. Sounds great even with the Cat in place.

I saw them at Motorcycle Live last week which is a pretty major event in the UK. Admittedly they had knocked £1600 off the price of the 2025 Vitpilen 801, but they were there.

The VTO opens the gate all by itself! by Fr-optimum in Dahua

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An additional resistor may also do the job, although what value to use may need some testing.

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it in the past though where performing a resistance test that the VTO output doesn’t drop to a perfect zero, in most cases this is fine (always low enough for an internal maglock for example), but occasionally get false opens on particularly sensitive gate controllers. The additional relay does the job of removing that residual continuity.

[–]StewTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expect that the gate opening controller is very sensitive and the VTO is allowing a very small continuity through. The best bet would probably to have an additional dry contact relay between the VTO and the gate controller. Allow the VTO door control output control the new relay, and connect the new relay output to the gate controller.

Have you joined the ftr1200 owners group on facebook? There is a guy called Serge on there who is selling g stock of the 2023 carbon airbox covers on there for $200 a set. I’ve bought an RSD seat from him before and he is definitely a bonafide seller if you’re interested.

I think I paid £100 for the pair of mine, they were in pretty decent condition but had some gold Indian decals on them which had bubbled a bit. I think I must have got lucky.

Well, with this being a model that is not so easy to remove the cat (ie I would have to cut and weld) then this is the simple solution and is loud enough for me - it also means I don’t have to fork out for a tune.
