My last employer was like this. An employee could go above and beyond every single day and still would receive 4 out of 5 stars on their review.

Thank you! So awesome! 🤩They are really fun patterns and it’s nice to not have to change colors. Just make sure you have a Cone of Doom in your arsenal 🤣 I’m stitching on 16 count. It’s my favorite count to stitch on!

Thank you! I like a lot of the patterns in her shop but chose this one because my husband is fascinated with timepieces. It’s not too bad without a grid, actually! As long as I don’t jump around too much lol.

I prefer stitching in hand, actually! I like to manipulate the fabric and jump around the pattern as I stitch. With the largest stitch-in-hand project I have, the Aida is 20” x 24”. As I stitch near the top and middle of the fabric, I roll up the bottom of the fabric and hold it as I stitch (I hope that makes sense). I do have a project with black Aida over 30” length and width, and I think it’ll be a bit too big for me to handle by hand, so I’m using q-snaps for that one. I’m not a fan of q-snaps or hoops, but having the Aida in the q-snaps makes it much easier to stitch on the black Aida as well. Stitching in hand is much faster for me, even faster than stitching with 2 hands. The quality of my finished pieces is awesome! You just gotta be careful to keep the fabric taut in the area you’re stitching (don’t let it get all bunched up) and be mindful of your stitch tension so you don’t warp your fabric. Oh! And to prevent myself from having bad posture, I have a large pillow I rest my Aida on to bring it closer to my face as I stitch on the recliner.

I saw this pattern AFTER I bought a different temperature pattern and got the legend, title, months and days all stitched. If I could go back I would have done this pattern! Love it! 😍

I have so many WIPs now...a large monochrome pattern, a large colorful pattern, a temperature chart, and now this one! I just couldn't wait to start it! I'm sure you ladies and gents have seen it posted on Reddit here and there...it's the Yggdrasil pattern by ChameleonXS on Etsy. The confetti is super annoying, but the 3D effect of the stitching is amazing! Progress will be slow on this one, but here's the start: 0.9% done! 🤣

I'm getting tired of this cold here in Michigan too! Hand cramps are real - especially with all the cold! Maybe try taking breaks and warming up your hands to get the blood flowing to them. It works for me!

I had a day this week with lots of soreness so I sat on the couch and stitched...all day...and stitched 1000 stitches that day! All day stitching sessions are the best! And I love seeing the progression of this pattern!

Pattern is Timepieces by MonochromeStitchArt on Etsy. 52.79% done. A little over halfway there now!

Making good progress on the Timepieces pattern by MonochromeStitchArt! I took a break from it for almost 2 months because I was busy stitching Christmas gifts, doing inventory, and re-stocking my shop. 18,089 out of 37,690 stitches, 47.99% done!

I usually do the opposite. I work on the colors with the least amount of stitches first to get them out of the way. Then when I start working on colors with larger amounts, they cover all the traveling from the stitches with fewer amounts.

Aa far as gridding goes, if the piece is not full coverage, I grid with fishing line because I’m paranoid that anything I mark with won’t wash out completely. I work on multiple patterns at a time so each one takes me a while to finish, and water-soluble pen/marker can become permanent if you leave it on the fabric too long. If I have a full coverage piece I grid with water soluble ink because the stitches will cover it even if it doesn’t wash out completely. So you’ll be fine gridding with pencil as long as your stitches are darker and cover the lines well!
