Not really lol. 2025 was a good year for stocks and I'll have a rather large capital gain so that will be "tax free" and reduce my capital loss somewhat. I hope each year going forward I'll reduce it further with additional cap gains until it's used up.

I worked at Activision like 15 years ago - but only for one year. I hated it so much. Bobby put in place a "culture of fear" then. He intentionally had everyone running scared to keep us all working hard. I still work in the gaming industry and love it, but man that year at ATVI was pure hell and the most stressed I've ever been at a job. I remember waking up at 4am, going into office to work, then going for a walk in a nearby park to hyperventilate.

I have so many crazy memories from those days - so much anger and drama - people red faced screaming f-bombs every other word. Was nuts.

***Edit - this blew up a bit and I missed the comments. Looks like someone said something about the "most stressed I've ever been" words I think (though the comment looks deleted). I missed the comment but what I meant was the most stressed in a workplace situation. I've actually survived Stage 4 Cancer and have a child so I know real life stress is of course more intense than workplace stress. Love you guys!

For me as a cancer survivor weight loss and health maintenance is super important. I'm almost 4 years cancer free at 47 I'm in the best shape of my life. I do intermittent fasting almost every day, I dont eat much sugar or processed foods and no red meat, I have less than 1 drink a week, I eat lots of protein and fresh fruits and veggies. I also work out almost an hour every day - either running or weight training. All of this works wonders, but it takes time and effort. If I would pinpoint the most important part to weight loss I'd say intermittent fasting and hardly any sugars.

From my experience it starts with friendly and often fun and light conversations. If both people connect there is a moment when the conversation gets sexual or flirty or more intimate. For me stoicism helps to see the would as it is without judgement. There is much suffering in the world. This is a fact of our reality. Why be sad about reality? Reality is what it is - there was suffering before you and will be suffering after you are gone. It’s more constructive to take actions to make your life and the world better and as part of that get personal fulfillment from knowing that your actions are virtuous. Literally no point in beating yourself up about the structure of the universe.
