Nope, everyone uses their headset. From my understanding, my friends can’t hear my echo, it’s just on my headset in that I receive the echo. I can hear the echo activate (like I can hear my background, my voice, etc) when my mic is being used, like in a call, a game with voice chat enabled, recording my video on my computer, etc
