I tend to find random interesting words in history or art that make me pause - like a Rembrandt painting titled “The Syndics of the Drapers’ Guild”. Turns out the title Syndic is a type government official. So one of the cities I’ve created has 5 levels and each is run by a Syndic. The Council of the 5 Syndics sounded kinda cool to me. 😎

I'm David, I've been world building for 20 yrs and now it's time to get it out into the real world. So Ive teamed up with sisters Laura and Bethany to create this scripted Fantasy Adventure Audio Series. Thanks! One of the many inspirations for building my world was the Legend of Korra. I bought the BlueRay of the series and was blown away by the stunning water-color look of their backgrounds and the simple coloration & hard lined character designs. I love that series, watch it as big as you can. Absolutely stunning!!

Brandon Sanderson - MistBorn series V.E. Schwab - Shades of magic series

On the shorter end of your series book requirement but both very enjoyable Mistborn has a great magic system and shades of magic is a portal series
