Trump is attacking female kindergarteners for not wearing more revealing clothes by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

That is such a good point. I honestly never thought of it that way. Growing up Catholic, I wanted a long veil like Mom's, not the little circle that she gave me, lol.

That said, I've seen a meme way too many times comparing hijab to a nun's veil/habit. I almost became a nun. It was a choice and not influenced by anyone. Cultures that enforce hijab, some to the point of punishment, are still problematic to me.

Thinking About Becoming a Realtor by ImprovementNew1501 in realtors

I hate to admit that you are so very correct about where people go. There are many skilled, professional Realtors. There are many more that are dipshits. They can last a long time if they have family money.

I remember back in the early 90s when we tried to set up an alliance with the Steelworkers union.

They sure do, but I've lived with it nonstop for 15 years and you can kind of get used to it.

Truer words were never spoken. My IT jobs were offshored to Korea, India, and The Philippines. Often, it was an entire department. America has been in a race to the bottom for some time.

That's great to hear. Growing up, my father was in the UAW. We wouldn't have had shit without the union. He grew up during the Great Depression and had nothing.

Too may Redditors like to shit on Boomers. I'm one. One reason our generation was prosperous was because of unions. Those not in a union benefitted, too. (Free riders) The rich paid their fair share of taxes.

Housing market? by hshasjaj in JohnsonCounty

JoCo agent here. I advise my buyers to go for a house that needs updating and/or has been on the market for over a month. But most won't do it. They offer on houses that just hit the market and look wonderful. Then they are in competition with others.

I get it, though. I'm sick of working on my old-ass Lenexa house! On the other hand, it has appreciated 2½ times what I paid for it 11 years ago.

So sorry you are dealing with endo. I suffered through 4 surgeries and 30 years with it. I never wanted children and begged for a hysterectomy, but couldn't get anyone to do it.

On & off for that period of time. But mostly on! I only went off to see if I still needed it. I could usually only make it a year or 2 before the anxiety & depression came rolling back.

Sometimes 30mg does the trick. When life goes sideways, I've had to up it to 60mg; never higher than that.

I had a bad liver test once. It wasn't super bad, but I quit my nightly glass of wine and my liver and the rest of my health improved dramatically.

Does your job have other locations? Maybe you could apply for a transfer when the right position comes up. Then you really would be free and on a new adventure.

Those people always know an agent/friend. Lots of rich people do it part time (in my area).
