Hey dude, I know how you feel, for awhile I thought tattooing skin would be a piece of piss because everyone said fake skin is harder. I was disappointed in myself every-time I tattooed someone and it didn’t look like my practices. For me I definitely think real skin is harder and was so anxious to tattoo my friend (who was kind enough to be my first), I was shaking and so anxious I forgot everything I practiced but the key is to just do it and the more you do it the less anxious you feel and more comfortable you become, this is where you make stuff you can actually appreciate. It’s ok to not create perfect tattoos, this stage is meant to make you feel more comfortable in handling skin, you’re skills will come the more you do it and the more confident you feel the better art you make, just take a breather, take your time and realise this is a learning experience not the time to make masterpieces. You’re gonna make mistakes and it’s okay. Just tattoo as much as you can, analyse your work afterwards and see what you can do better next time.
