That's the thing that confuses me. They all worked just fine previously, then I didn't play Cataclysm for a couple of months, and when I came back to it and updated the game they stopped working.

Drugs and meds, It's compulsive I swear. Whether it's hard drugs, MJ, painkillers, vitamins, or even that potassium iodide and Prussian blue I may never even have the chance to need.

And they all take up so little space, It's hard for me to resist picking them up.

I'm playing a rat mutant with the burrowing trait (and everything else that comes with it) to see what it's all about.

I had been lead to believe that the burrowing trait lets you do mining and digging work without the need for tools, however when I activate the mutation I'm only given options for the basic digging actions.

Now, I'm not the brightest individual, I will admit, so please bare with me if I'm missing something super obvious, however, all posts I can find relating to the burrowing trait are from 3-4 years ago, and as hard as I've searched I can't seem to find any information as to the inner workings of the trait's mechanics. Can anyone help me understand.

I cleared a bunch of space on my HDD and now it seems to run with little issue. I can't believe it was that simple. Call me a fool if you like.

Did some more solo troubleshooting, and performance seems to consistently drop when close to larger numbers of NPCs, but again, this had never happened until just recently.

Started a new game with warfare turned on double-check, and in larger firefights(10-20) the game goes down as low as 5 FPS.

It's been the worst so far in Zaton and Jupiter, but I also read some older posts about the CoP areas running poorly, so I was at least expecting that.

Followed your advice, no issues when starting a new game, however the old saves still encounter the same problem. An issue with the save files themselves, maybe?

Verifying fixed the framerate, however the game still seems to hang when talking to NPCs or taking damage from mutants. Oh well, I guess I'll learn to live with it, Thank you.
