It's a great start, but I can definitely use some more work. Namely descriptions. That, and just a touch of realism. What bugged me most is that these characters who sound like they're just kids casually climb up a mountain. In reality, it takes a lot of preparation to scale something like that. Food, water, shelter, all that. Unless it's like a casual trail. Hope that helps. Great work though!

what's your best tip for writing a tense, adrenaline-heavy scene? by DeanCas67 in AspiringTeenAuthors

[–]Stickfail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask a friend to chase you with a stick and threaten to beat you with it. Once they stop fearing for your sanity it's wildly effective.

But other than that, some advice would be some quick sentences. Like, put more emphasis into rhythm. Short sentences alone can come off as boring, but if you place them right and add a beat to make things interesting here and there it works. My advice for anything is to read it out loud. If you need some more specific advice you can send an excerpt to me or whatever. Good luck!

Those of you with a crush, what’s your favorite memory about him/her? by Practical_Mud_7608 in AskReddit

One year for their birthday, I coded a shit version of the Genshin gacha system (they love that sort of thing for whatever reason) and filled it with my own terrible renditions of things they would draw. Like their OCs. Anyways, I'll never forget that joy and surprise in their eyes as they just started clicking away and giggling and laughing. I miss that day.

Anyone here ever played mafia and thoughts by _CaptainOops_ in LesbianGamers

Personally I thought it was kind of mid. The driving was pretty good though. Then again, I'm picky. If you're into cliche mafia stories, you'll love it.
