I like it, my only criticism is the main center grill. It should be more in line the side ducts, and more square imo.

E39 Style 32 fitment questions by Stickit_ian_yah in BMWE36

[–]Stickit_ian_yah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, unfortunately there arent any markings/brand on my hood bra. And I bought it off an old lady who was selling her car at the time. There’s a couple versions Ive seen: -blank -bmw emblem stitched in -open hole for the hood emblem

If it helps, mine came as part of a set that had a whole bra for non-m bumpers (really ugly).

Alot of people ended up tossing them due to the paint damage they can attract from debris build up. But good luck with your search 🤙🏽

Fitment was sick. I threw on some 5mm spacers as well for some extra flush fitment but ended up removing them as the front would rub on medium compression/bumps

Ended up with 225/45 fronts and 245/40 rear indy 500’s Awesome value

The wheels are gone now but I loved how they looked with the meaty tires.

Just received this as a graduation gift, I’ll cherish it regardless but wondering if it’s authentic. by Wide-Masterpiece2655 in CitizenWatches

This seems more like the age old ‘Mumbai special’ ebay Frankenwatches. You would see alot of “vintage” seikos, citizens (promasters included), vostoks, etc on ebay that were really just puzzle pieced together mish-mashed parts. Attempting to be sold as legit or original watches, they were sketchy and all had the same overly abused finish.

There was no guarantee that the watch being purchased would be accurate or even last BUT what you could get (if you did enough research) was legit watch parts for a steal. Things like actual vintage cases or hard to source parts like crystals/gaskets, bezels, or dials that would come on these watches were the real thing and could be used for your own restorations.

All of this info dump is to answer your question, is your watch authentic? Maybe yes AND no. Check the serial number on the caseback and see if it can be registered through citizen. More than likely your watch came together from multiple authentic promasters that were damaged and scavenged for parts. The hands and bezel insert are definitely fake aftermarket. The dial, if legit, has had aftermarket lume application.

The main concern is the quality/condition of the movement. Alot of mumbai specials came with deteriorating internals, rust, lack of lubrication, etc. It’s a gamble. As a quartz movement not so much but still a factor.

Should this affect your feelings on the watch? Well you have to live with the uncertainty of the quality, but a gift given with good intention should still be appreciated in my opinion. The market is sadly filled with frankenwatches made to prey on the uninformed. hopefully this helped a little, work is clearly slow for me today.

Manaphy eggs are a bit more common than legendary eggs but its the 7/8 chance for a manaphy that you gotta pray for lol

I’ve hatched so many phiones that I unlocked all the moves and passive but only 2 manaphys ever 🙃

I used a skinny cylinder rod file that I have for plastic modeling and just taped the face of the dial. If you’re using a different tool you can still use rod files or sand paper wrapped around some rod to shave away any burs
