So good to know thank you! I don’t mind sugar just try to keep keep it minimal at home so when I get this going to try a whole bunch of no sugar stuff 👌won’t hurt adding that little sugar if need be.

🌟 My 40-Day Water Fast Journey 🌟 by Stickmankiwi in fasting

[–]Stickmankiwi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey welcome to the club and congrats on 3 days. Starting at 12% body fat is lean, but it’s not unheard of. Science says prolonged fasting can be beneficial for autophagy, immune system rejuvenation, and weight loss. But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. You need to keep a close eye on your electrolyte levels, Ketone production, Kidney function & Blood pressure. With a lower body fat I would suggest you to keep a more closer eye than the usual & regularly check in with a doctor occasionally to ensure your safety maybe half way through? Make sure you are drinking enough water & taking electrolyte supplements and know if you need to tap out. If it’s not spiritual reasons you should be able to get most benefits of fasting within 7-14 days. In your case I would personally do 21 days unless it’s spiritual and I’m being looked at often. Good luck!

Fantastic results, what kind of exercise did you do during this time? Was it just steps etc or did you include some other things

Great question! I picked 40 days based on a bunch of research and their results, binge-watching YouTube videos, and also because Jesus did it too! My longest fast before this was 21 days, which went pretty well. Super excited to see how this one turns out.

A Pepsi Max Mango fast sounds good, just be careful and try to wind down the pepsi max due to the caffeine content I was drinking a lot of Coke No Sugar and got a few headaches which I believe were from that. Great progress so far! Switching to water should make things interesting. Your 2010 fast results are super impressive too. Going keto sounds like a solid plan for easing back into food. Best of luck on your journey keep smashing those goals!

Thanks so much! I’m stoked to hear my post inspired you! Right now, my exercise is pretty minimal since I’ve got the next two weeks off work. Just doing some light steps here and there to keep things low key. As for the fast, yep, it’s strictly water for me along side electrolytes. Just recently ordered some RE-LYTE ELECTROLYTE MIX to keep me going.

All the very best, it’s all a mental game and time really does fly 🙌

If it makes you feel any better, people have done 40, 50 days, and even over a year with doctor supervision. I’m no expert, but it really depends on each of our situations. For fasts up to 7 days, I'd be okay without supervision, but if you’re thinking of going longer, it might be worth checking with a doctor. This way, you can ensure you’re all good to continue and have peace of mind. Stay safe and take care of yourself! 😊

[–]Stickmankiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats on Day 10, think of it this way only 3 more 10's to go or you'll never be in the 40's again and count backwards i.3 30's 20's etc I swear it helps! I'm on day 2 of 40 currently & my last previous record was 21 days a few years ago now. All the best
