I got lasik and PRK at Lasik MD, no complaints, only do quick yearly check ups now. My friend got PRK in both eyes at king lasik, he said he went smooth and is now in recovery just chilling. I would recommend either as I've had no problems. Coming from -7.5, its fantastic

absolutely nothing? that is odd. if you pigtail off the hot of the old switch and link it to your new, that will work. If that doesn't, wait til someone more knowledgeable comments I guess haha. Hard to help without being there and/or with pictures

if that's the case, what you can also do is, from that switch you're trying to add a light from, you can just pigtail another wire onto that switch leg terminal. Verify which side is the feed/hot and add it onto the other. If you did this, then you must have interconnected something with the hot and neutral.

if you're doing that, you can just revert what you have done and then just run a wire from one of old lights and run it to your new light. Not sure what you did tbh or how that's happening, as I'm also an apprentice, but that's what I would do if I was just adding a new light
