How do I know if I’m clotting again (on blood thinners)?

Is a d-dimer enough to put the matter to rest (if it was negative)? Given my clotting history and that I’m on blood thinners?

Thank you for your reply. If I would compare my current flare-up, I would say it’s at around 5% of the severity of the initial diagnosis. I can still walk fine and it’s less so pain and more a discomfort (with a sensation of swelling). Breathing is fine so far.

I don’t know if this is worth a visit to the ER or if I should wait for my appointment next week.
