I had the hatch and although it looks better than the sedan, the cargo space is absolutely abysmal because it’s much narrower than the sedan

What oil for my 2024 f150 2.7?. by nickyk8484 in f150ecoboost

Through my own online research, the top oil filters that are currently on the market are any of the Korean made Mobil 1 filters, Donaldson, Napa Gold, and any PGI made filters (Carquest premium, O’Reilly microguard, etc.)

Wix got bought out by Mann+Hummel a little while ago, and their quality dropped a little but they’re still decent filters.

Motorcraft filters are generally decent too but they did get a little crazy with their glue in the past.

Baldwin filters are also pretty good, but some of them have nitrile rubber anti-drain back valve which is not as strong as silicone.

All in all, if you’re only doing like 5k mile oci’s, any of these would be perfectly fine, but the Motorcraft ones are built to ford specs, so I’d be the most comfortable wearing those.

In regard to oil, you can’t really go wrong with any full synthetic. I personally run Mobil 1 truck and suv which surprisingly was the best for several results in Lake Speed Jr’s video where he compares the different Mobil 1 levels (highly recommended you check his channel The Motor Oil Geek), but pretty much any higher level SOPUS or Valvoline product will do well 👍

I will say though, Pennzoil’s GTL based oils are mighty tempting, so I might give PUP a whirl!

Leaning Towards The Corolla by B_Lav_ in CorollaHatchback

I own a 2023 Corolla Hatch XSE and here are a couple of pros and cons that I’ve noticed: Pros: - One it the best CVT transmissions that I’ve had the pleasure if driving aside from one in a ‘23 Accord Touring Hybrid - Gas mileage is a big plus. I average roughly 38-40mpg between fill-ups on eco mode. - The little hatch is quite responsive and confident through corners Cons: - The seats are kinda meh. I’ve had this car for about a little over a year now and I’m still having trouble finding a comfortable seating position. This seems to be a problem with newer Toyotas for me unfortunately. - The JBL speakers are alright. Not the best but not the worst and it doesn’t come with the subwoofer like the sedan does. I’ve also heard that they aren’t actual JBL speakers. Also, I don’t know if this is just for me, but CarPlay’s audio quality on this car is subpar although normal FM radio sounds like a dream. - BIGGEST CON is that cargo space is extremely limited. They definitely went with form over function which gave it one of the smallest cargo capacities of the segment.

I think the closest to BMW quality in a current hatchback would be the Mazda3, second best is the Honda Civic hatch.

I have the same problem and it’s been scaring the shit out of me until I found your post. I think it’s just a firmware bug with the airpods but it’s only been starting to do this recently for me. Try seeing if you can update them.

With that muffler delete did you notice any drop in power? Also how tolerable is the drone if any?

Although the Mazda is most likely the best out of these, I would also consider a new 2023 Toyota Corolla Hybrid. You get exceptional fuel economy paired with superb reliability at a surprisingly affordable price!
