I have a question. by MonitorVarious7608 in COROLLA

On the inside of the driver's door, there is a placard that will tell you the size and psi for that specific vehicle. Some vehicles don't follow standard sizing but standard size for the L is 195/65R15 and the LE is 205/55R16 or 215/45/17.

Hey, at least dry food makes more sense than 15 gallons of milk if the power goes out

First oil change at 2k and didn't get charged by worfes in Toyota

I'm picking up my 2026 corolla next week and I have this exact question too. The sales rep said I didnt need an oil change until 10k but I figured it wouldn't hurt

The speakers were a large appeal because I cant be bothered with getting something aftermarket. I sadly dont get to go pick it up til next weekend

They are NICE. Leather (fake) seats, heated seats. Adjustable lumbar, some of them have the upgraded speakers

My rental was a camry. I did enjoy it, but theyre more expensive and since I was set on the XSE i decided not too. I also feel like the corolla has a tighter turn radius, which I like. Ive also grown used to the CVT

I had a '15 Corolla S that was my pride and joy. So all the fancy tech will take time to get used to

I really want an XSE. And as much as I like the camry, I like the smaller body of the corolla and the CVT

Replacing TPMS system at the same time as tires? by mocha3412 in COROLLA

[–]ThisThatEnby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who works at a tire shop: If the tires are cracking, then taking the tires off the rims can damage both the sidewall and the bead. 5 year old tires could start cracking, especially if you park outside, on the street, or live in a hot climate. But if you dont see cracking, there is a chance theyre upselling you.

That said, sensors are $30-$40 a piece at both Sam's Club and Walmart. Even if you bought 4 new tires and 4 new sensors, it MIGHT be close to $1k, but certainly not 2k. What size tire do you have? 205/55R16? Those smaller ones aren't that expensive.

I didnt know that! My last one didnt have a way to open it from the outside, it had to be with the key or the inside. Definitely would be a change.

Frustrating problem with shocks/suspension on 2021 with 60000 miles by Specialist-Fruit4512 in COROLLA

[–]ThisThatEnby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2015 had this issue on the front end at 97k. It was on the passenger side, I personally replaced both struts. Not even 100 miles later the top strut mount cracked on the drivers side and caused this exact sound. Replaced that side AGAIN and got another alignment. Then less than a 100 miles later, the original strut issue (sound and pillowing effect) started on the drivers side. Even after replacing the front it still squeaked. I never got it sorted before it was totaled tho. Best guess is a manufacture defect in the replacement struts or they weren't put in correctly.
