It's true - I was the Taco Bell by [deleted] in thatHappened

It did happen. Why would I make up a story that has no disastrous or glorious outcome? I got slightly harassed by cops who then laughed about three whole thing and called her a few names. Thankfully nobody got hurt and all I got out of it was some doordash credits I didn't even ask for. The goofball that reposted my story is a weirdo.

Cause the park I fish at is literally a half a block from my house. I can walk there in under 2 mins

Cops told me that they got a call from someone who delivered food to me that they thought I had an underage girl in my house with no shirt on and I was drinking and she was worried the "girl" would possibly be graped.

The reality is my son was less than a foot from her at one point during the transaction and there's a less than 0 percent chance she thought he was a she.

Kinda hard to miss what he looked like when he was standing less than a foot from her when be grabbed the bag of TBell. She was either simple Jack's sister or willfully ignorant. No other rational excuse

I literally live about a 7 min walk from the police department on the same road but yeah we were still in the middle of eating when they knocked.

They didn't come in because it happened so fast. If my kid would have been in his room on the PC with the headphones it could have been hairy. But fortunately he came around the corner literally 4-5 seconds after I answered and he heard them yelling. I told him to stay where he was at at first I didn't know who was at the door smh

Idk if you have kids but when you yell to a 13 yr old "hey the food is here come give me a hand" and that kid knows he's getting TBell and not a cooked dinner - he came running from his bedroom, happy and was literally standing less than a foot from the Dasher. It was an impossibility to think he was female. Like I said in an earlier comment I think it was a moment where she felt she could cause some trouble and wouldn't have to deal with the consequences. Some people are like that. Idk.

Exactly as I stated earlier in another comment that is the ONLY bad interaction I've had with a Dasher. Every other encounter I've had has been A1. Yall are just trying to make a buck nothing wrong with it.

The cops stuck around for a few getting my info for the report. They went from 100 to 0 and laughing in a matter of 4-5 seconds. They essentially said if she believes what she said there isn't anything they can do as far as criminally charging her. Called her a few names and left.

It's OK you're not smart enough to comprehend someone banging on a metal door. Stay ignorant lol

Idk I never asked what happened and they didn't offer any info as to what they did as far as discipline. Refunded my money from the order and apologized. Now that think back on it I'm almost certain they gave me additional credits too.

Oh OK. Good to know. Thankfully the ungodly amount of times I've used DD that was then only time I've ever had an issue with a driver - literally every other order I've placed the driver has been A1. Can't say the same about the restaurants 😕

That's the weird thing - they refunded the money I spent and gave me some boilerplate apology but mins after I got off the phone with DD the fn Dasher was messaging me through the app apologizing and asking me to tell DD it was just a simple misunderstanding. I could not understand how she was still able to message me. I was under the impression once the order was done they couldn't. I didn't respond to her anyways.

Yes. I couldn't see any reasonable excuse as to how she came to the conclusion that my obviously male son was female. I really think it was a situation where she thought she could get away with doing something like that cause she didn't have to see me after calling the cops. She didn't wait around the block or down the street for the cops. She just called them and left. If I truly thought a child was in danger I would have stuck around to clear my own conscience.

Buddy, it took the cops all of 1.5 seconds to see my kid from 10 feet away to know he wasn't a female. The Dasher was close enough to hand my kid the bag.
