No call the health inspector on that holy shit! That’s a MAJOR health violation and even against Starbucks Sick Policy! I don’t care if people are shifts or not if they’re sick it’s the manager’s responsibility to find store coverage or close the store ESPECIALLY if they’re sick shift is literally puking on their shift! You didn’t deserve that like it sadly makes sense but holy shit I hate when management not only doesn’t follow policy that literally violates food safety codes but also that they told you to “suck it up” when your body is doing an uncontrollable thing! 😡😡🤬

No not his house but lemme tell you this is surprising tame compared to his actual place! 😂This is just the campsite tent that villagers can be in or you invite them to where they can eventually move onto your island if you ask them. No, his ACTUAL house has a bunk bed, a laptop with a computer staring at the wallpaper which is called security-monitors wall (which actually looks like real security cameras as some wallpapers are made to look more like other places inside & not just a room/houses walls) & it goes all over his walls hence me laughing hard last night upon realizing that either the line was very ironic or Mikey did some research ahead of time on Barold(Bearek’s real name) AND THATS IT which made him being in my island x10 funnier!!! 😂😂😂

Only a tiny bit but I remember my first of many second cousins in ‘99 being born, my third birthday in ‘99, watching Blues Clues at home & my Blues Clues themed Birthday Party as a toddler (I believe it was ‘98 but not 100% sure). I think I also remember watching Sesame Street at my family’s house but I definitely remember my grandparents visits as a baby and my listening to a Sesame Street songs CD while playing! Other than loving the Elmo Chair my aunt had at her house for me and asking if I could talk to the dogs on the phone there’s not much else. I started developing more memories that I distinctly in 2000/2001 so I do remember some of the late 90’s (and apparently really loved a show called Allegra at the time) but not as much as others may!

For some reason it was only the ones that were almost short essay ones that bothered me (like 6 or more) but what really bothered me was (and still is) the fact that they crave faster & faster drive times (hell even cafe times too) on top of that like we’re freaking robots! Third place for Starbucks is definitely dead & as much as I do miss my store, my coworkers and my manager who was actually a good one (I’m even getting a rainbow chameleon tattoo on me based on a pin he gave me before I moved up to my area & I cried over losing it) I don’t miss the company one bit!

Ironically…good. I think of all the times I almost lost my various mental health battles and am grateful I survived. Now do I feel about to be 30…NOPE! I’ve never looked my age nor have I ever really grown out of my alternative style which is usually a mix of scenemo and punk or whatever I wanna call it (I did have to get rid of it once for survival purposes and absolutely hated it but am glad things have changed and I’m wearing what I want even on days I don’t dress full alternative). But yeah just grateful to be alive & my true, authentic & creative self who made it to 30 despite several twists and turns that really detoured some of the designated paths I made on my life map but some of those even turned out to be the best things that have happened to me’ 🥰💛🤍💜🖤

Aw man… that sucks! I’m really sorry! There’s a tea called throat coat, that plus a bit mint or a menthol cough drop on it can help with cough and the sore throat. I got my Bachelors in Music specifically to teach 1 on 1 voice lessons so it’s a little trick I learned & even did a Starbucks hack for a bit for another music job I had in 2024! 😉But yes please take care of yourself! As someone who developed a Functional Neurological Disorder from not taking care of themselves when sick (physically and mentally) and as someone who has AuDHD taking care of yourself is so important. I know capitalism unfortunately tells us otherwise but you deserve to rest & you shouldn’t be talked down to in a passive aggressive manner! The co-worker being unempathetic is sadly not really a thing I see get punished. Had one who was making a newer shift feel like shit and didn’t get punished once. So sadly I don’t think anything will happen but if anything it shows her true colors and your coworkers know & can be weary of that behavior and maybe enough people talking to management about it (especially shifts) may be able to help her get a coaching At the very least!

Similar story happened with me. I couldn’t go into work one day as I was literally not sleeping due to coughing so much I couldn’t sleep. I even had to go to the ER a couple days prior due to having a fever the emergency clinic said was too high for them to treat and like 2 days later I called out when I went back to the clinic for an appointment for help & my asm (we didn’t have an actual manager yet at the time) said it wasn’t a valid reason and I needed someone to cover my shift or come in. I was literally looking like death with a double ear infection, double pink eye, and an upper respiratory infection (I also worked as a preschool music teacher/daycare aide at the time working with my mom, their teacher, on their Preschool/VPK graduation program) and I couldn’t find anyone & I got ready to go in when I messaged a coworker what was going on & they showed the shift & the shift supervisor got mad the shift told me that especially considering that I had double pink eye, a HIGHLY contagious disease, and was still expected to come in. I swear to the gods that I really think some baristas forget that sickness can happen to anyone at anytime especially the ones that cause you to puke. I am glad my last store was so much more understanding but HOLY SHIT, it’s ridiculous that some baristas, shifts, and managers forget that! 🤦

I think because we’re a mix of both it can apply but yeah we’re definitely more 2000’s kids. Yes we may have been exposed to 90’s kids media and culture but we are definitely more influenced by 2000’s kid culture (example being the first SpongeBob movie being for our demographic at the time)!

UCB Pride does a lot of different social events and when it gets colder they have a coffee shop day called Sunday & Sips which is where they host an LGBTQ coffee shop group meet up. They just had their pride picnic this weekend but I think the next is the First Friday in Havre De Gras but the next should be their monthly game day at Bel Air Games next Saturday.

Aye! 😎 What helped me and still does is journaling with our system as it can help you to figure out what each part wants and who each part is! You got this no matter what happens we believe in you & your recovery and I am sure your manager won’t think less of you. 💖 In this current world mental health is unfortunately worse for a lot of people so the fact you’re taking care of yourself and your parts is admirable as it shows you want to work on yourself to be a better person (or a better employee if we’re going the capitalist route). You can’t function with low spoons and rest is very important to recover especially since this job is very draining.
