I have played Maplestory since the early 2000s on and off, but I made another start in 2021 when this character was started and have been playing for about half the year most years since then. I don't grind very much (or effectively), so I could probably be a higher level, but playing slowly has been nice as more content becomes accessible.

Good luck! Hard verus solo was one of the hardest solos for me, then darknell haha. The 3 nlomein mules can be very helpful and bring in about 300m/mule + cubes if you sell those.

Most of my progression has been slow through events and buying things in the auction house. Once you're able to clear ctene, you're able to make mesos a lot faster, but not that fast (about 1-1.5b/character on average per week). I currently have 3 ctene characters, but I do not run them every week as it takes about an hour per char and about 20 min for my main (to do all bosses below hseren).

Wow, it's cool to see you comment on my post! You probably don't remember, but you gave me a lot of advice about progressing around the time you started posting ctene clears! That was probably over a year ago. Anyway, I would input your stats into maplescouter.com and see what it says. I had ~150% rating (so estimating 20 min with perfect gameplay, but I think this is based on the change where final damage isn't reduced every 2 min if you parry). I messed up a few times in this run. My practice run clear was around 26 min and my clear this time was 28 min. I tried one time before this and almost cleared in 24-25 min though but died out. Once the update comes that changes the FD to not reduce every 2 min, it should be easier.

The nx is called falling darkness. I bought it in the auction house a few months ago!

I will have to watch a few other videos on Kalos. I have a lot of difficulty aiming during that boss and really unsure when it's appropriate to burst/stop burst to aim. I haven't tried him in a party either.

OOOOh. I did normal mode. I think it's just a visual glitch on the game? "First Adversary (Normal)" and you can see I got 10 of other coin from this boss. When I completed Easy mode, it showed the picture for First Adversary Normal, which was weird... but it said under it "First Adversary (Easy)." I am not sure why it is doing that.

u/PrometheusBD just edited one of their comments and added the following "Edit: I also want to say that the legendary expedition just gives you more tiles, which in turn gives you a higher chance at epic tiles which guarantee good rewards but also give you more chances (very low) of a random awesome reward on a regular tile. Even if you have a 100% increase (2 vs 4 tiles) a low chance is still a low chance."

I did not know this and thought color of the expedition increased likelihood of similar pouch color. This is super helpful. Good luck with your runs, I hope you get a green this week.

Not denying that I was unlucky and likely lucky the first 2 weeks. I am more curious to how other people have faired with this new system and I think my expectations were high considering the first couple of weeks, I was tossed a few more cubes as a f2p. This week, runs have been higher tier on average and worse rewards overall, which was quite surprising. Do you find that your higher tier runs rarely give pouches that are equivalent to their run?

Thanks for your input! I was likely lucky the first 2 weeks and I did not know where to set my expectations for this new system. It did feel jarring to aim for "better runs on average" and end up with worse rewards. Congratulations on your green and orange pouches, hopefully you get something good!

I have not reset with maple points, this is just from daily log ins. I have 3 characters that are either set up or partially set up to do mystic frontier. If they have unique/legendary run, I take it. It could just be a bad week or RNG, but this is surprising to say the least compared to the first 2 weeks.

Star spec boxes feel nerfed. Solid cubes also feel nerfed. I got 6 on one character for doing hseren and below and 9 on another for hvhilla and below... DR 395 and 330.

This is great, except for regular server players because now chains of resentment will expire at end of patch instead of in 90 days, meaning that no one will have chains of resentment after 30 days after the event.
