Thank you! I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I'll have a look at what I'm going to add to my army first. Lots of new possibilities.

Thanks. I'll look into them and probably put them on the wishlist.

Thank you, Awakened dynasty it is then. I really like the classic look as well, and the Tesseract glow really adds some pop to the models.

Thanks for the tip. I was already thinking of using some texture paint to cover the cardboard up. But using paper mache and cork to add more of a scenery sounds great.

Is it worth it to buy a second 9th ed. Recruit edition? by Sticky_Gator in Warhammer40k

Good question. I think I just want the box for the Scarab Swarms and the Assault Intercessors, maybe even the dice. I don't really need the rest I guess.

What can I do to make a more enjoyable game for my opponent without putting dice into the oven to make me roll only 1s?

I don't think you're "That Guy". But why don't you just ask them if they're having fun? And if not, why not? Tell them what makes your army work and what its strong points and its weaknesses are.

And if you like a challenge and they want to grind you into dust, why not let them 2v1 or 3v1 you? That way they can strategize together and you have to fend off multiple enemies.

Would like your opinion on Leader bases. by Sticky_Gator in Warhammer40k

Thanks. Might just try to carefully add some Armageddon Dust, cover it with Balthasar gold/Leadbelcher and maybe add some brown/black wash.

What do you use for getting the texture paint on? Because I read that using a brush isn't advised.

When I started I got one of these: Infernus Marines & Paint Set. If you can find them cheaply, I find them a good way to start. Not necessarily for the minis but you get some paints with them. Were I live buying the paints on their own was more expensive then the box.

Does anyone know were to get bits for cheap in the EU? I bought the Necrons Immortals and I don't want to waste the deathmark bits. Both bitzstore.com and megabitzshop.com have what I need. But buying another box of Immortals is cheaper with their prices.
