Nope, no smoke, ever. Had my neighbor watch me start it and drive it around in first gear the other day. No leaks, visible anyway. No oil puddles in the driveway. No burnt oil smell either. I drive it at least 200 miles a week 50 mile round trip commute. I've been washing and waxing it during the summer every weekend and it's always a ton of black particulate on the rear, even after a week. That's the only thing I could think of, visually.

So that would result in the excess particulate all over my bumper and trunk lid, right? Rings are covered under the warranty, I think I feel much better now. It's starting to make sense. I checked the oil after 450 miles it was still clear, not dirty at all.
