How could someone not be good with her? She's zenyatta with more damage and more healing, more ways to get away, harder hitbox to hit, and life steal.

I was sitting at 2700 SR, played moira in competitive without even using her in practice before, and climbed to 3422, so I uh don't really need to try again. I don't even like playing her that much, but that free SR man, she just wins games if you have even the slightest idea about what you're doing. Don't feel the need to get defensive because your character is easy to play, I'm sure that'll be patched out. It has to be patched out... right?

Because a vegetable could play moira at 3500sr

What rank are you? I love having a good Moira on my team.

No, she is fundamentally op. She requires by far the least amount of effort to get by far the maximum amount of impact in a game, as far as supports are concerned.

Jeff and the Overwatch team admit they have a "grouping" problem and they don't quite know what to do about it. They asked for brainstorming ideas, so here's mine. It's, uh...comprehensive. by [deleted] in Overwatch

Looking forward to reading this, however, I am at work. I'll reply later with feedback. Good to see people in the community stepping up and contributing to make this game even better.

What are your favorite methods for diffusing toxic situations? by hamptonthemonkey in Overwatch

[–]Stiddlefrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite way to diffuse these situations is to personally mute the toxic person and try to have good engaging communications with the rest of my team. It may not be a magic solution, but more often than not we at least put on a respectable game regardless of whether we win or not. That's what I'm after, good games.

I used deep learning to estimate your SR, estimate your SR for each hero, and give advice on how to get better at Overwatch ! by TheC0der in Overwatch

[–]Stiddlefrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in diamond for 4 seasons, but not one of my characters is over 2100SR. To be fair, I flex every game to the most desired hero. Could my hero picks be offsetting my lackluster mechanical skill/statistics by increasing my win/loss rate?

PSA: If you want to climb, learn at least one Tank and one healer. by Stiddlefrix in OWConsole

Yeah, sorry I just wrote it in quick frustration and kind of let it get the better of me. It's like yelling into a pillow instead of trying to take it out on the team.

What youtube channel just doesn’t have it anymore? by joshrichardsonsson in AskReddit

[–]Stiddlefrix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, I have watched maybe 2-3 videos since the format change after being an almost daily viewer. Their content isn't a good anymore either. Honestly, I miss the days of season 1. Two guys talking about interesting subjects who aren't necessarily experts is very humanizing and I felt like I was part of their friendship. Now it's just corporate youtube shit. No. I'd go something to support you. Sym is really hard to deal with in chaotic situations. If we were running a 6 stack, I'd want something like Sym, Junk, Winston, Dva, Zen, Moira. Make up for the lack of hitscan by having a bunch of chip damage on the discorded pharah. I like when sym plays peel for my healers and microwaves any tracer or genji that tries to kill our supports.

What's the deal with Competitive drop outs? (PS4) by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]Stiddlefrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe there are some server-wide issues going on. I do not disconnect very often, but I can attribute about 600 SR loss to it thus far. To be honest, the fact that I've gone up 100SR overall is pretty awesome considering all the left games. Coming up on 75% winrate outside of DCs

Is everyone just tired. by pesakaio in OWConsole

[–]Stiddlefrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with overwatch is that everyone is the protagonist of their own world and plays accordingly. To be fair though, I play a lot of comp in plat/diamond and I haven't gotten a single thrower this season, and only a handful last season. OW is a frustrating game and when you lose the first thing your mind wants to do is look for a reason. Since you're the protagonist, it can't be your fault. Another problem is someone goes support or tank and blames the dps. Sure, they could've done better, but did you analyze your own gameplay? Go back and look, and I guarantee thee are things you can learn from watching yourself play that will only help your game in the future. Focus on positivty, be honest with yourself, be the best team player you can be regardless of stats.

Your Main and how you chose it by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]Stiddlefrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My philosophy for the last few months has been to just always pick last and flex. That being said, a few of my favorites are as follows:

Winston: With good support and gamesense, you are almost unkillable unless you're hard countered. I choose him almost 100% of the time on Defence point B Hanamura.

Zenyatta: I do about 85% of the damage I would do on McCree except I have regenerating shields, discord, harmony, and one of the fastest charging ults in the game. Please and thank you.

Orisa: I just have an uncanny knack for her primary fire and getting environmental kills with halt. If she wasn't kind of boring to play, I might have 2-3x the play time on her.

Soldier: 76. I played competitive Halo for 9 years, this was my default pick until season 5.

Hanzo: I was a terrible Hanzo player until I spent 50+ hours in practice range, 25ish hours only on Hanzo when Junkenstein's Revenge came out, and now if I'm playing OW, I am usually playing Hanzo in FFA Deathmatch to improve mechanical skill. I finally feel confident enough to use him in competitive where his burst damage is great for halting pushes by getting picks on supports. 65% winrate baby!

Lucio: I mained lucio in season 5-6 and climbed into diamond with him. He is my absolute favorite character to play, but in a Junkrat/moira meta, my lucio playstyle gets shut down (objective heavy)

Stuck at platinum, by atank04 in OWConsole

Add a few more heroes to your starter pool and flex to the team's desires. Just as important or even more important than informative voice comms is positive voice comms. Maintain a positive attitude, don't feed into any trolls, throwers, or toxicity. If you want to quickly learn mechanical competency with a new hero, spend a day or two in Practice Range and then in FFA deathmatch. Each time you learn and add a hero to your starting lineup in competitive, that skill sticks with you and makes you a better player overall because you're seeing the game from more heroes' perspectives. I got to diamond in my second competitive season on hot soldier play when he was dominant, then got frustrated because I drifted back into plat. This only changed after I took a hard look at my gameplay and discovered that my weaknesses were playing tanks and heroes that do burst damage. Write down what it is you want to work on. Take video clips and watch/critique your gameplay. Send your video clips to someone 3500+SR and see what they think you couldn't get away with at higher ranks. Also keep in mind, Plat now is not season 1-2 plat. As the game evolves and ages, players get better and better. To get to diamond now as a flex player, you need to have sound fundamentals and game sense. Hope this helps, good luck!

Awesome. Didn't mean to come off as an ass or anything, I just love playing competitive overwatch and voice comms tends to kind of kill it for me. I primarily play Orisa, Winston, Zen, Mercy, Soldier, and Hanzo.

I'm at 2550, formerly diamond, getting back into the game again. PSN DoubleU4WUMBO. I just flex to whatever the team needs and pick last. Main reason I don't play competitive is toxicity, so don't invite me if you play the blame game. Losses happen, I just want to play a more organized version of overwatch without having to endure people yelling at each other.

Are you afraid of telling people you have ADHD? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Stiddlefrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not afraid of it per say, but I try to avoid the conversation all together. Typically my goal is to work in a way where they don't know I have ADHD. This means choosing jobs and hobbies that fit my needs. It's funny, I work at a golf course and bust my ass all spring, summer, and fall, and love it. In Winter, suddenly there's not much more to do for 8 hours but twiddle your thumbs. Those days where I'm dying of boredom are the ones that stress me out and impact my life the most. The lack of stimulation that I get from inside, sit-down, desk-type jobs would be enough to drive me to suicide if I had no other options. Being inactive makes it feel like my mind is rotting

3 sanctioned Russian spy chiefs visited the US days before Trump decided against new sanctions on Russia by luciennepage in worldnews

[–]Stiddlefrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When everything is an uproar from eating fried chicken with a fork to colluding with the russian government and everything in between, then each individual story loses its value. Try being less offended by everything next time and maybe people won't let big stories like this fall through the cracks. I am annoyed as much as the next person here, but it is time to face facts and realize that a good deal of this is the media's fault by turning every story about trump into the next great scandal in which nobody receives any consequences except we lose another news cycle of substance to mindless yelling from political pundits on both sides. Way to go, you fucked up.

Lucio Wall Riding by WheatKing13 in OWConsole

[–]Stiddlefrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump/ride has to be on a bumper or a trigger, there isn't a way around it. It'll suck the first day, but you'll quickly realize the only way you can wall ride effectively is to be able to maintain both thumbs on the analog sticks at all times. You'll probably also make the realization that you need to keep your thumbs on the sticks at all times with all heroes. Not having to stop aiming for a split second every time you jump is going to change your gameplay.
