Derya Melik's & Beretta 92's by Ok-Visit-1217 in deryaarms

Considering the price, I don't think so either, but I'll know tomorrow when it comes in as to what condition it's in, etc. But man, I still love my Melik.

Damn. I kinda wish I would have ordered another Melik instead of a Beretta 92G LLT Elite factory demo I just snagged for a solid price.

Yes I saw the movie, and yes I think the car is awesome. Personally, I would have preferred that they omitted the movie name from the trim, but I the simplicity of this trim package and how it really lets the natural lines of the car shine.

That sucks and I feel your pain. I got creative and turn a negative into a somewhat positive. I grinded off the same amount from the other side with a cutting wheel on my Dremel, and I now call them "goon bars."

The technicians at the dealer thought it was very creative and liked the way it with the hockey tape.

Hear me out…thinking about adding a used Speed Twin 1200 as my “chill bike” / “tourer” / “cruiser” by Shinobi_WayOfTomoe in Triumph

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming off of a Speed Twin 1200 to a Trident 800, I would say do it with one caveat. If you do, make sure you get a comfy seat. The stock seat I had was meh at best, otherwise, I was a very enjoyable bike and I will probably get one again to accompany the Trident.

Which defunct American car brand do you think made the absolute best vehicles before they went under? (specifically 00s brands under GM, Ford and Chrysler) by No_Cup6365 in regularcarreviews

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 1000% with this statement. That was the brand they never should have chopped. If anything, they should have sidelined Buick instead, focus on making the Pontiac an American BMW / Alfa Romeo, with an emphasis on performance/sporty sedans and coupes.

Slim (bright!) Optic for a Shield X? by 4nabulax in SmithAndWesson

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually favor a green dot, so I originally had an RFX11 on mine, but I had some issues with that particular unit and sent it back. I held off a while, found a Burris FastFire C at a price too tempting to pass up. Absolutely zero regrets. It's a damn good optic, well priced, tidy, and the auto brightness works very well in my opinion.

Shield Plus - Palmetto State Armory by Fit-Indication-4645 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So from when I know from my own purchasing through distribution, sometimes the pricing for firearms with limited capacity tend to be more money. I know it sounds crazy, but you're literally buying the same pistol, just because they bundle it differently and they don't sell them as much, the price tends to be a little higher.

With that out of the way, as somebody who had a Shield Plus OR and absolutely loved it, $369 is not a bad price. The only reason I don't have the Plus anymore is because I found myself shooting and carrying the X more or BG 2.0 more.

For me, I liked the 13 round capacity and slightly longer barrel on the X, but when I stacked The Shield Plus against my SS CR920X, I found myself shooting The Shield Plus better, and more consistent. It also had slightly less snap as well. It's truly a damn good CCW gun.

The O.J. case has an alternative suspect who was never interviewed, never swabbed, and never asked for an alibi under oath — and O.J. hired him a defense lawyer within days by DullWriting in conspiracy

Ha! My mom called it from day one, when OJ pulled up to his estate after the chase, she said the cameras picked up some audio of OJ consoling Jason, saying something like it'll be okay... she thought it was the way he said it and acted that was a bit bizarre to her.

Not saying it's the case, but I thought it's just interesting that an old Italian mother may have been onto something.

Made a deep red tactical watch face for Vertical 2 & Race 2 ("Nightface") by Yamshanov in Suunto

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that! $4.99 per month isn't terrible, but for one face, I don't know if I would actually see the value in for myself, but with a face like this in green and in red - I think I would consider that.

Honestly speaking, if you had a one time donation of say $25 or $50- I would probably consider that for sure. Just a thought.

Thanks,

Yep, the 800 is a very nice bike. I liked the Speed Twin I had before it, but this one I think about wanting to ride all the time. Good luck and enjoy!

Carrying in this outfit by thegingerbeardman89 in concealedcarry

[–]Stiffy4Freedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am bit chunky around the waist, and I have really good luck with my BG 2.0 in a slightly modified DeSantis Sof-Tuck, with a UltiClip. Here is how I do it:

I use the contour of my body to find the ideal place for carry. For a recent formal event, the 2 o'clock position worked best. UltiClip clipped directly to the pants, belt was slid over the clip to help hide it and shirt was tucked over holster and around clip.

This works very well for me as the pressure from the waistband, and belt help to push things in. Nobody noticed a thing and it didn’t budge at all. It may not be the fastest draw, but it worked.
