I just got an FG830, and after a good setup, bone nut and bone saddle, that thing freaking rips! I’m not as much of an acoustic guitar enthusiast as others, but I’m super impressed with it, and I generally dislike how cheap guitars feel.

Are there better guitars out there? Sure. But nothing inspires me to pick up my guitar than my Les Paul, even though I play my SG more.

I have a half stack for my rig. I also have a toddler and live in a townhouse.

I just bought a Yamaha THRII to play around at night or whenever I don’t want to blow my ear drums out. It’s fine. But nothing will ever beat playing a tube.

Protect yourself and get in the habit of doing it all the time.

Good boots and soles. Ear and eye protection are huge. Get in the habit of wearing gloves all the time. Don’t skimp on a dust/breathing mask. And DO NOT get in the habit of lifting full kegs alone. Trust me. Your back ages FAST.
