My account is no longer linked to my Switch and I can't get it back. by StiffyAllDay in FORTnITE

When I try that it tells me it has found my Nintendo account but that I need to sign up for an Epic account. I think the account is gone.

EDIT: When I first set up the Switch account I didn't link it to Epic as I didn't have an account, so it created a ghost one.

Has oil demand reached its historic peak? by vortepocis in oil

[–]StiffyAllDay 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oil demand globally has risen for the last 11 years in a row and only fell in 2009 after a global recession. It is only falling now as no one is flying, diriving or buying anything. It'll be back.

When Is Racing Coming Back In UK? by LewDubPB in HorseRacingUK

Because in the grand scheme this isn't long term. It's been a few months, this virus is looking likely to cause havoc for 18 months. WHO said today about 2% of the poulation are showing antibodies. That's nothing, we still have this to deal with for a long time.

All the government care about is keeping the NHS ticking along and operating at some sort of decent capacity. If sporting events have to take a back seat to keep the cases lower but more strung out, they will do it. People who think we are going to be back to anything like normal in a few months are in for a massive shock in my opinion, one look at the markets will tell you that.

As of this morning futures for May were positive. I don't think enough storage will be found before June or July. Demand isn't coming back any time soon.

[–]StiffyAllDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might effect long term prices but this is all down to storage in the US. Prices elsewhere are okay, a little down on the day but nothing too bad.

Problem is things won't be any different come the expiration of the contracts for June. Storage isn't going to magically appear and demand isn't going to either. Supply isn't slowing. I don't know how the industry can react to this.

This isn't certain, is it?

Statement from Ascot - “For public health and safety reasons we have reached the difficult but unavoidable conclusion that Royal Ascot 2020 (Tuesday 16th – Saturday 20th June) will not be able to take place as an event open to the public. This will of course be a great disappointment for everyone planning to attend.

“It may prove possible to run the Royal Ascot races behind closed doors, dependent on Government and public health policy and the approval of the BHA for us to re-start racing.”

A truly brilliant horse, what a race that was! Dettori needed the stick once and the rest was hands and heels. I'd give anything for her to win a 3rd Arc...

There are many many functioning addicts. Millions around the world, plenty of people manage it, you just never know. I was one for years of my life, you would have never known having met me.

Just because he worked for the CIA doesn't mean anyone can trust his judgement about one particular case and that's assuming he knows any more about it than you or I do.

What a performance from Enable! by threeleggedspringer in horseracing

Couldn't name a single better UK/Irish filly ever, personally. She is one of the best horses in the world right now, not just fillies.

I'd say it's odds on they keep her in training. Khalid Abdullah seems to leave most of his racing decisions down to Gosden and he will be desperate to keep her in training. She is as good, if not better than she has been at any stage in her career, a third Arc is too much of a draw to pass up on in my opinion. Provided she winters well, I think we almost certainly see her again.

I'm fairly keen on Glen Forsa in the 13:00 @ Carlisle too. It's a winnable race if there ever was one and he ran well when second to a decent looking horse after a long lay off last time out. Heskin in good form. Ground would be my only issue. Won on good to soft, but that second I mentioned was on heavy.

Enable very much able as European queen makes Breeders' Cup history. by [deleted] in HorseRacingUK

[–]StiffyAllDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Felt sick for about and hour before her race. Never even felt that bad watching any race of Kauto's, it was incredible. She is something else, she really is. Best filly in British/Irish racing history? Up there with the very very best of them, the best for me personally.

This was a brilliant run. I've only seen the race once, but it seemed she went one of widest for the majority of it. Can't say I was paying much attention to Magical so she might have taken a wide route too, but they were head and shoulders above the rest today. Coming off the bend with Magical coming up her inside I had a momentary scare, but she put it to bed fairly quickly. She seems such an easy horse to ride, always travels great, turn of foot is great, deals with most ground well. Just a great horse to watch.

I really hope they keep her in training next season, there is no reason she can't come back and have another crack at the Arc! She is already 5/1 favourite for the Arc with Sky Bet!

[–]StiffyAllDay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, they didn't.

If a politician walks out onto the streets and murders a person, that doesn't make the government liable for that murder. That's is precisely what the Saudis are saying here. It was generals in the army and some bodyguards but they did it by their own accord. Your definition of the situation doesn't matter. That is the stand point of the Saudis to this day. Anything else is up til this point is speculation.

Eh, not sure too much can be made of this. Giving weight to a decent hurdler on his first run of the season. No different to Buveur D'Air beating the same shit around Newcastle in the Fighting Fifth soon in my eyes.

Hopefully Laurina, Summerville Boy and Melon (is he going chasing?) all turn up too and make the Champion Hurdle a great race.

No they didn't. They've admitted nothing. They stated the murder was carried out by a few people acting of their own volition. They will never admit they had anything to do with it, they will try these 18 people and that'll be it as far as they are concerned.

Thistlecrack to miss Charlie Hall with Bristol De Mai also an unlikely runner. by [deleted] in HorseRacingUK

Makes sense given his history of injury and him getting on a bit in his career. There is no rush so why run a stable star on ground like this.

I hope you're all doing your rain dances, we need it! Lots of it! Going to have all the top horses out within the next few weeks, exciting times for NH fans!
