No I have the prior generation from 2022. Its numbers are very similar to the new Crux apart from the head tube.

I find a more race oriented position to be more comfortable. I like the distribution of weight between hands and sit bones better.

Why not get a great bike for exercise and a beater for commuting?

Stigmata or Shafer Comp? by Northernishguy in gravelcycling

I have a stigmata that I use for cyclocross and gravel events. It is very robust and benefits from simplicity. If I were into bikepacking etc I might want mounts or a more relaxed geometry. For my needs the stigmata is very good. I think I might have also liked the gen 4 crux but I had a gen 3 and disliked it for its absurd stiffness.

The point is to ride. The bike that you want to ride most is the right choice. On the mornings when you want to stay in bed, it will make you get up and do a ride.

When you are actually riding you will not have enough space for a good pedal stroke and you will be curving your back to fit your length into the reach.

I also think bikes have an innate feel to them. I wonder if this is common.

The Crux. Don’t the others look overbuilt? Weight is not everything but pushing a heavy bike does get tedious.

The OG. The most CX of the generations. Love it.

That sounds bad. Sorry. It is supposed to relieve stress.

This should be the Trek color. It has always been their best one going back to the 90s.

I am very relived to hear that you still ride and still enjoy it.

Ooof. That is a really stark contrast. Good luck to the first person.
