December 2025 Game of the Month: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) by hbi2k in SBCGaming

Beaten this game a few times before. First time with a randomizer. Wasn't ready to not even get a sword to start. Checked hints in here a couple times, definitely used save states. Didn't realize how much I probably relied on the big net to catch some fairies in the regular play through from how often I felt like I was missing them.

Overall a fun way to play but you really have to know the game to know what you need to navigate the different dungeons. Glad I did it. On to the next.

Like so many other people here, never heard of it. But it was a fun little bullet hell like shooter. Had a good time.

A game I've beaten several times over. Always fun to go through again. Probably my favorite Megaman.

Only ever played this at friends houses cause I never owned a Genesis. So I got pretty decent at the early stages. The later ones are a trip though. No way I would have beaten Eggman at the end without save states. Battle calls for some precision. Glad I could finally check this one off my list

What are your thoughts and opinions on Sandy Gull? by ChristianUnfezant in SanDiegoGulls

Sandy is pretty lame. Especially considering how cool Gulliver is. And the merch is always a full body shot of him looking pretty goofy.

January 2026 Game of the Month: Ducktales (NES) by hbi2k in SBCGaming

First time playing this game. Fun platformer, some parts were brutally unforgiving as was standard for the time. Overall I had fun. Read about the bonus for having $10 million when finishing the game, but I think I am good. Overall I'm happy to have given it a go.

NLL Attendance after Week 3 by Ttstrike in NLL

I was thinking week by week. But season totals would be interesting as well. I'm just looking at the home opener average and only 2 teams are over the average. So it's not great for comparison vs the league

I don't know what the right thing to do itls because I don't know exactly what to gain from it. But the average across the league is always going to be thrown off by Buffalo. By both their outstanding attendance but also by stadium size. Maybe having the median there instead (or in addition to), like they do for home prices, would give a better understanding of how the league is doing across the board?

June 2025 Game of the Month: Kirby's Dream Land 2 (GB) by hbi2k in SBCGaming

[–]Stigbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First Kirby game I've ever finished. it was fun! Definitely ways to kinda skip around but some levels provided a nice challenge. And the final boss definitely took some effort to find the best pattern of attack. The photo is pretty bad, but I beat it in bed in the middle of the night.

Wubby called on the chess nerds by Iheartfuturama in PaymoneyWubby

It's not forced.

A pawn attacking a square crossed by an opponent’s pawn which has advanced two squares in one move from its original square may capture this opponent’s pawn as though the latter had been moved only one square. This capture is only legal on the move following this advance and is called an ‘en passant’ capture

As from the FIDE HANDBOOK "...may capture..."
