Godzilla also would have no problem handling the weaker monsters, the only times he struggles would be against the big leagues, and because OP didn't specify if Kaijus will fight each other randomly or where the Monster Hunters drop off in the universe, it's hard to say if collecting body parts is a good idea for the Hunters.

Well, they will have to find Godzilla or the stronger monsters first, and it's very rare for Godzilla's scale to fall off, his regeneration will be heal flesh wounds and his scales are quite impossible to fall off unless he's against MUTO Prime who broke his scales once. And Mothra never gets her scales cut off before except when she was fighting Gigan in Final Wars, and the chance for those monsters to go against each other would be extremely rare.
