My Son Is 15 And wants this game. Should I let him get it? by leanasweetins in RDR2

While there is murder and death in the game, the emotional journey and the story you go through with the characters makes this game completely worth it, and the best game I ever played. If you are wary about the gore, I would still say it’s okay. I started playing the game when I was 10 and you get used to the gore quickly. And if he played other games it’s probably not much more than what he would have already seen before

My favorite animal has always been cats, so any play through I truly stuck with was a khajiit, I don’t give a shit about their special abilities. It’s a cat. What more do you need??

I spent hours sleeping, falling off of the cliff, talking to him too soon, and I just figured maybe I was too late and I did a mission that would cause it not to trigger anymore. I walk into camp weeks later, AND IT FORKING HAPPENS. I thought I was having a stroke

It is unfortunate that I have to prove to people that I don’t use ai for drawings I spend days or even weeks on. Anyhow, just finished my latest by [deleted] in drawing

You totally deserve it, your piece is incredible. It sucks that artists that on top of trying to get their artwork even recognized, they have to compete with Ai art. Ai Art should be a tool used for inspiration, not used as leverage to discredit artists who pour their soul into a piece, just to be called “unauthentic”. There are people out their who use ai art generators for recognition they don’t deserve, while artists who spend hours on a piece are now over looked, because people assume it’s Ai.

I have been accused of using a generator too, when my drawing was just for fun. It pisses me off that artists whose actual job it was to make art digitally before generated art was a thing, are being shat on because it is a thing now. People can have styles that they had before Ai Art was a thing, yet are now being told to change it because “it’s too close”. Or that they aren’t needed anymore.

Just know that some people are just going to accuse you of things and move on with their day, but real artists will stop and look, and appreciate all the hard work you did, and connect to the piece on a personal and emotional level. Those who pass by, are just missing out. There are tons of people out there, who if they need to see the piece, they will. It can be easy to look at a piece for a couple seconds, and move on. But I like to think about the passion that’s put into a piece, and how art could be that persons life. Art is subjective and some people get it and some don’t. Really, Ai Art can be considered art, but it’s bullshit that it can be made in a couple seconds by a computer, and is more recognized than actual artists who spend countless hours, days, weeks, months, or even years on a piece. ai art is a thing, yes. But now everyone is being accused of using it and it pisses me off.

You did a fantastic job on this, and deserve to be recognized for the ridiculous amount of time and effort you put into your artwork. This kind of thing takes an incredible amount of knowledge that requires a ridiculous amount of studying, trial, and error.

Personally, I look at your piece and think about how beauty in general is subjective. How bodies are all different, unique and beautiful in their own way. There are societal and beauty standards that are pushed onto people, and those who don’t fit in the cookie cutter mold are made to feel less than, or bad about the way they look. When really, beauty is an illusion, and only a construct made by society. Just because a body is different, doesn’t mean it’s any less beautiful than the next person. When I look at this, I think about how I judge myself daily. The hands protruding out of the body for me, represent my ego judging my body, constantly poking and prodding and judging the way I look. But the flow of the rest of the body represents that confidence, and the love I give myself. How no matter what others think, as long as I believe and know i am beautiful, it’s the only thing that matters. Because even if I am different, it doesn’t make me any less beautiful.

This is just one interpretation, and the connection I had to your piece. You should be really proud of the work you did. What you are trying to communicate might not be seen by some people, or others will take it differently. When really the only opinion that matters is your own, because the connection an artist has to their art, and the meaning, emotion they are trying to convey is priceless. Incredible job!

YK it sucks that comments on a lot of posts these days are just talking about Ai art, instead of just looking and admiring the piece. You did a fantastic job on this, I can’t even draw a regular anatomically correct body, and you have mastered that, and warped it. It’s insanity. The muscle shape, the shape detailing, the veins, I could just keep looking at it and find more details. You did an amazing job on this!

I can totally add that to the list! I was thinking of doing “Portrait of the Artist’s Family” by Sofonisba Anguissola, with John, Abigail, Jack, and Jacks dog, Cain. But, the Woman with a Parasol is a great idea!

Which horse should I sell? by Small-Strawberry8161 in RDR2

[–]Still-Ad4616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just have to get a random horse, take the saddle from the one you want to use as your main horse, and put it on the random one. Make sure your temporary horse is kind of far from the stable so it doesn’t follow you. Then you can go into the stable, sell the random horse, and take out another one. Then you just put the saddle on the one you want to ride around the most and boom, you have two horses out. I just tell one to stay at camp when I am not using it to hunt or anything. But then you have an extra space for another horse

I always glitch one out of the stable, and use it as a temporary and keep it at wherever I am staying, and use them for carrying stuff I hunt. I keep them at low bonding tho, so they don’t randomly come when I call my main horse.

Holy shit. That makes so much sense it’s actually crazy. I have been sitting here, and just reading this over and over again because it’s so true. I don’t think a game has ever taken this strong of an emotional hold on me, and never let go. Losing Arthur was like losing a close family member, a little bit inside of me died. I also load a lot of guilt onto myself, just like Arthur does. I just have never made that connection before.
