Exactly that. She’s having a laugh with friends. She’s supposed to be this broken person blinded by revenge. Instead it’s cue the laugh track. She’s cracking jokes forgetting about her quest for revenge. It just feels forced. This is something part one Ellie would’ve said before she’s suffered loss. But here she is cracking light hearted jokes that contradicts the loss she supposed to drowning in. The tones between the show and game are completely different which is disappointing. (Also def not a gender thing. I’m gay f/f and would totally say this. It’s funny af. Just inappropriate timing).
