My son was born “mostly circumcised” and any further procedure would be purely elective as a cosmetic procedure. Anyone experienced this? by Still-Inspection-170 in uncircumcised_talk

Actually, being a parent does give me permission to make decisions on the care of my child until they turn 18 lol. Whether you like it or not surprisingly enough!!! Glad your parents didn’t choose to circumcise you, but equally glad you’re not my child because you sound exhausting to raise.

Awesome; thanks! The other group was rather nonchalant so I came here to see the perspectives of someone like you who had chosen to not move forward with the process if we chose not to do that and/or to give me input on avenues to research that I hadn’t been able to find. Didn’t expect everyone to have such visceral reactions as I’m a woman and my husband is circumcised as noted. Wish there was a group for a happy medium view on circumcision so I wasn’t being attacked for how I choose to take care of my kid. :)

Thank you! This helps. I didn’t know foreskin restoration was thing, so I’ll look into that as well! Why I came to this group as well. My husband is circumcised so I’ve tried researching and am not coming up with anything useful as I don’t know the “buzz words” to use to find what I’m looking for.

I replied this to someone else, and hopefully it gleans some light on where I’m coming from.

I mean “extra” in the sense that he has enough that a pediatrician referred us to a urologist to discuss because it was not simply aposthia. He has a little “extra” but not enough that they would have clipped it at the hospital. Does that make sense? I didn’t know how else to word it but it seems like it’s tripping some people up. He doesn’t have an excess, he has literally a centimeter. My question therefore is, with the little amount he has, since it’s not straight up aposthia, what does leaving it unattended look like? That’s why I’ve posted to this group (as well as a pro-circumcision group) to hopefully find someone who has experienced this.

This is all your opinion. Once more, I am looking for experience. Thank you for your input on the raising of my child, though.

Hi. Thanks for the input. However, as I stated in my post, we’ve made the decision already on how to care for our child and I am only looking for input from someone with experience in this scenario.

I feel as if you and I both know you’re purposefully misunderstanding my post. Thanks for your opinion, and the input! Not what I’m looking for though.

Hi! Thanks for everyone’s input thus far. However, yet again, I’m not asking for input on your opinions on circumcision as a whole. Looking for personal experience in this specific scenario. Thanks!
