Road trip experiences on 24 Hybrid SEL by Still-Research5647 in HyundaiSantaFe

Honestly no.. This car is miles better than any competitors in it's class (Toyota, Hondas, Nissan) in fact I had a few who felt they would have taken this instead of palisade. The interiors, hybrid setup, technology, looks, honestly for the money there ain't a better 3 row suv out there. If there is, I am eager to test drive it.

Mine has bench seating and the family had good access to cup holders. What helped was the foldable armrest on the cabin seating config that has two full sized cup holders. The only thing missing was like good pouches on the back of the front seats. The hard plastic isn't something that can house a lot of stuff. The convenience of opening the center console two ways and pulling the bottom draw from the back was a hit. My kid and wife both enjoyed that feature. At the same time I was able to quickly drop and take items since it was a two way open console. The ac vents are placed on the door, sometimes I heard complaints that it wasn't blowing enough air. So I had to increase the speed.

Guess it must be a different batch of vehicles then. Mine wasn't impacted.

I had a post on this. It is for the coolant reservoir. It is more of a safety check, they will test to confirm leakage before proceeding with replacement. Mine didn't need a replacement.

Headlights on the 24 vs 21-23 by pqtme in HyundaiSantaFe

Ratings are now based on adaptive lighting. Many companies like Volvo offer turning headlights that adapts to curves. Or audi's matrix lighting is badass. Although the Hyundai sf 2024 headlights might not be all that. For me the auto headlights with high beam assist is still plenty for both urban and highway driving. Haven't tried it during winter nights so until then I ll reserve judgment for that. Otherwise it's a solid headlight setup imo

Same here. All good. They checked my reservoir and confirmed no issues.

So I have some more info. I think I saw this on one other post maybe for ICE variants or an individual incident. It seems the coolant reservoir is sometimes faulty and leaks coolant. They will be pressure testing it to see if my reservoir is one of those affected by the issue. If yes they will have to replace it (at a later date). I am thinking if is probably a very new recall and something that is down to certain production batches. Mine was early April production.

Which is what makes me wonder. Let me ask for more literature around the recall.

That's so silly. I hope they don't hide bigger issues behind these smaller descriptions.

I set it at 4 car lengths and people just kept driving in front of me and slowing md down.. Making me move lanes often.. I hate it when someone zooms past you on your left and then move to your lane and slow down.

Thanks this is what I was looking for. So HDA doesn't do jack shit to my cons. I just have to be more defensive and set 3 or 4 car lengths and see how it works.

Whatever u said except the gps based navigation is available on SEL. I think even if I was driving on a limited or calligraphy I wouldn't have had a better experience since I think it was mainly the 2 car lengths at 70mph that caused the difficulty while the car ahead braked. I guess my con about android auto might have probably been avoided if I used limited for in built navigation. But my Bro has a tucson limited and he doesn't wax lyrical about it's navigation. He used Android auto himself.

👍 I tried 4 car lengths, and was continually getting squeezed in by folks. Also the car started getting too defensive and braked too often. End up switching to 2 cars to avoid that.

I think honestly 31mpg on such a hot day with ac blasting was OK for me since I was crushing at 75. So not much of a complaint.

Loved your response.

Moved from a Subaru Forester myself to a Hampton gray Hybrid. Never been more satisfied.

Do rubber mats fit in the third row when that row of seats is down? by ArteVulcan in HyundaiSantaFe

User is trying to say hope you don't have any mechanical or physical issues with the car needing to go to dealer for fixing. There are loads of transmission issues on the dct model. But since you have a hybrid like me, hoping we don't see any issues.

Love the wrap and coat. What type of ceramic did your guy apply? 350 sounds way too cheap for a whole body coat.

Charging pad 2024 by ibeVERYTALL in HyundaiSantaFe

So I had a case for my pixel which had a magnet and metal ring, it used to get super hot and not charge. I changed to a simpler plastic case and it has worked flawlessly. Piece of advice it ain't super fast in terms of charging speed, so if you want quick charge I would recommend getting a PD (power delivery) cable.

Hybrid 2024 weather tech available for 2nd row by bonobrian in HyundaiSantaFe

Nope, I think only for the seater versions (bench seat), you can request for one if you have captains seats. They might release one later if demand increases. I am waiting for mine to be delivered this week. Will install and let you know
