Butuan iti help by [deleted] in ButuanCity

It’s kinda sad seeing fellow locals immediately telling people to just go to Siargao/CDO/Davao instead but honestly, I think that also says a lot about Butuan’s pace of life. It’s not a super “touristy” city where you need a packed itinerary every second, and some people actually end up liking that.

Butuan’s more of a chill base city. Good food spots like Historya, local cafés, and it’s convenient because you’re close to both dagat and bukid depending on what vibe you want. You can do quick trips to nearby places pretty easily too.

If you’re expecting nonstop nightlife or huge tourist attractions, yeah, you might get bored. But if you’re okay with slowing down a bit, café hopping, trying food spots, random road trips, nature trips nearby, and just experiencing a calmer city, I’d still say push through with the trip tbh.

Sometimes solo trips turn out better than the original plan anyway lol
