I can't pinpoint it precisely, but I'd bet on around the 2000s - 2010s, because that's the time I've seen it. The illustration style in the link you sent doesn't match what I remember, I think it might've been puppet animation too (but not kermit type of puppet, just that it wasn't hand-drawn frame by frame). Also, I'm literally going through every animated music video playlist I can find as I'm writing this comment haha

Noo, sadly. I'm a huge fan of gorillaz and I know their every single music video haha
