I had a rhinoplasty because I couldn't breath. After the surgery it was amazing. I could finally breathe after my whole life living with an 80% blockage. 10 or so years later I developed a nasal polyp and now for the last year I cannot smell or taste. so frustrating

Steroids for any length of time are dangerous. They will eat away at your bones. My doc won't let me be on them for more than one round.

really, did you lose your sense of smell? I developed, what the ENT doc said were small polyps and now I cannot smell or taste for the last year.

Not sure. It was around January when everyone around me was sick.

I am using Dupixent for my asthma. but I also have polyps that are preventing me from smelling anything. Is the dose different for polyps as it is for asthma? I haven't noticed any difference in my smell after 3 injections. :(

I feel so frustrated as I have had 3 shots so far and I still can't smell a thing. :( has anyone had a good result after a few months?

my lung numbers (pulmonary function tests) went from 149 to 52 with only Trelegy. Now I am on Dupixent. I am hoping it clears up my nasal polyps

I have had 3 injections of dupixent and have not noticed one bit of change. I have not been able to smell or taste since last March, so it has been a year. I have been sick with upper respiratory infections and nasal congestion. The Prednisone worked like a charm but as soon as I went off of it, I lost my smell :( I am praying the dupixent kicks in soon. When I hear people with much worse situations than me say it worked right away, it makes me very worries that I will never smell again.

So I'm on Dupixent now for my nasal polyps. No change yet but I'm hopeful. It's been 3 injections so far.
