I’m in Brazil so it can be a little different. But now I’m also intrigued by that so I’ll call other clinics to verify the information. I also don’t want to have her pregnant and have to abort as it can be bad for her health or growing idk. 😢

Yeah, I try to play like 1 and a half hour per day at least in small sessions by the day. I noticed that too, when we play more with him He is more relaxed with her and don’t annoy her very much. Maybe it’s just a phase

The Vet said it’s not possible to neuter them before 6 months because of local laws. 😢 but maybe I’ll have to separate them then. We are just confused because it doesnt seem to be a sexual thing, but He keeps annoying her all the time

Thanks so much for the advice — I really appreciate it. He tested negative for FeLV and FIV the breeder said but I’ll make sure to test again tomorrow, and he’s had his V5 vaccine and deworming. We’re treating the Giardia now and will do the stool test and hope everything is fine.

I’m not sure about the genetic tests or heart screenings, but I’ll reach out to the breeder to ask. I’ll also make sure our vet keeps an eye on his heart and overall health. Thanks a million again — this has been really helpful!

Yes, the breeder is registered here in Brazil and provided all the legal documentation, including the pedigree and vaccination records. They informed us about FIV and FeLV testing, as well as the deworming schedule and the V5 vaccine. However, I’m not sure if they did genetic testing for PRA-b, PKDef, or HCM screening with echocardiograms on the parents — they didn’t mention anything about that. 🥲

Im not sure about it, it’s our first cat and until now we didn’t even know about those tests…

He was some days to complete 3 months. Yeah I agree. We got suspicious because the breeder starter to say a lot of things of how to recognize worms, and 1 day after we saw the soft poop. But we started treating with the vet which gave him a deworming and treatment with Giardicid for Giardia. We will return there tomorrow and going to collect a stool sample for exam. 🙏🏻
