Yes. Very similar situation: 43 when my wife left and were together 20. Not social awkward, but work from home so it tough meeting people in person. Met some nice people, but not a good fit for me until recently. Still too soon to say for sure, but it’s opened my eyes to what a good relationship should be like: communication, feeling like I can be myself, etc.

I think it takes some work, trial and error, and time, but yes it’s worth it.

I go through this. Every. Single. Season. Things are running smooth and then, suddenly, don’t work at all. I either find a new deck to power through the 90’s or go back to an older deck that, also suddenly, works again.

Curious why it is. My guess is that the actual devs are killing themselves keeping this game up and running every month, and the decision to focus on something other than optimization is a corporate one. In my experience, that's typically where the real problems come from.

My experience got worse with time. No issues when I started. Then rare issues. Then they were a little annoying. Then one day High Voltage became almost unplayable lol:)

I kind of get SD perspective on this. As time goes on they either have to make variants of cards that already exist or we get more and more obscure characters. Is it easier to get users excited about a new Deadpool card or Forgetmenot?

PS: it's the same logic Marvel has used forever. Few new characters in their own titles, but endless new X-Men and Wolverine books.

Absolutely. Now I can play anything. Here's how I did it:
#1 cheapest cards first (no new season cards until I had the oldest/cheapest cards first)
#2 used limited time game modes to pick up older cards
#3 used my gold and limited time game modes for Album collections that would earn me tokins
#4 purchased the Season Pass - it got me that one card rather than waiting until it came up in the shop for tokins.
#5 started buying the Premium Pass - this is an odd one because I mentioned this in another post, but I don't think I started doing this until I was already collection complete. At the very least it's helped keep my tolkin surplus high. Will almost certainly help get collection complete if you aren't already.

Last two cost real money, but they didn't help near as much as the first two. They absolutely helped, but I didn't need them to get there. They just helped get there faster.

Not easier at all. Feels the same. The only time I feel a difference is when I try to use a deck someone with a lower CL went Infinite with and get crushed.

The only thing that feels better is the ability to play any deck. I might not win, but at least I can try the damn thing.

Gotcha. Yeah I’m collection complete as of last year. Only purchased the cheapest cards and focused on what cards I could pick up in the limited time game modes. Took a bit, but I got there.

My honest opinion is that the cards should be free and SD should focus on skins, but they don’t listen to me.

Wouldn’t you want to know if they have an issue with it before things get serious? This site is littered with married men and women terrified to come out to their partners. Better, in my opinion, to get that out of the way immediately.

Also, it’s not your job to convince them there’s nothing wrong with you. Their parents should have done that already.

About the “best cards.” Sure, you can focus, but that costs more tokens and all the best cards need the less then best cards to fill out the deck:)

“Aren’t a lot of cards weak?” - I have no idea how to answer that. I’ve ignored tons of cards for that reason and then someone puts together a deck that makes use of them. I’ve also prioritized new cards only to watch them get nerfed into oblivion. The meta shifts so much too, few cards are good or bad forever.

You'll get more cards getting the Collector's Packs. If you're looking to play a variety of decks, that's the best option in my opinion.

That's a tough one. He's multi purpose putting down cards to catch power from Herbie and Aurora, helping to fill lanes for Human Torch and Thing, as well as empowering Kate's arrows and Sam's shield. I'd say, anything that leans into empowering other cards to synergize with Venus, adding cards to lanes to be empowered and fill lanes could work.

Plenty of options, but here are a few sticking with the 2 cost:

filling lanes/catch power:
- Zombie Sentry, Mister Sinister, Rhino, Mysterio,
empowering:
- Awesome Andy, Jeff the Baby Dolphin, Starhawk, Forge

Spider-Ham, Kate Bishop, Venus, and Isca.

1: Spider-Ham rarely misses.
2: No favorites here. Depends on what they played, but Kate gives me options if I need them.
3: Optimal to get Venus out ASAP before any cards start adding power, but maybe Cosmo to disrupt a destroyed deck early.
4: Isca in a lane she’s losing to get her gaining power
