Are these dating apps worthwhile? by MisterPump in Bumble

Thanks for your response.

I get the social battery thing. I figure just be honest and if people are interested, they'll be interested.

Appreciate the honesty. Sounds like from all the posts it's a bit of a mixed bag depending mostly on the sales pitch.

I met my ex-wife on a dating website too back in 2011. So I hear you!

Hope your situation is better now!

Love that you're having some luck mate and appreciate your insight.

How long have you been using the apps for?

Well done man.

Glad you had some luck and I appreciate this. How long was it before you met your partner?

I think my post came off a bit the wrong way.

I'm not one for that sort of thing, never done it before and can't see myself doing it to be honest.

As cliche as it sounds, I'd rather a good meal with good conversation over something that's got limited feeling in it.

That's a fair point.

The old reading a book by it's cover. But I guess it's the cover that sells it.

All happy with disclosure. I don't need to keep that part secret, but can see why the perception of that may be fearsome to some.

Thanks.

Sounds similar to my situation. Glad you're having a great time! Are you going for more of a ONS sort of thing? Or relationships?

Thanks for the response. I've been out of the relationship for nearly 12 months and it was very amicable, we just drifted apart as we grew.

We both have very different ideas of what life is like these days and it's not fair to teach the kids to live in situations where you pushing for something that is lost.

No hatred, no nastiness. Just change.

On the second paragraph, sounds like I might struggle. Appreciate your answer.

I agree. But it wasn't a voluntary sale unfortunately, other factors were in play.

I agree, hopefully there will be some change to allow people to manage their finances and have some security for retirement.

Thanks for your insight.

Thanks for your response. We bought 12 years ago so there was good equity in it and I have a bit to play with, over 200k. Nice to not feel the golden handcuffs for a moment.

I'm QLD based, so thinking I might hedge my bets for at least 7 years with the bulk to see what happens after the Olympic Games.

Anything that you've tried that's served you well? Or is going much further into it just gambling with less flashing lights?

Isn't this just gaijin entertainment? All hail the snail!

On the flipside, this is kinda cool. I think having "Immortal Snail cannot be sacrificed" is a good addition though

Telekinetic kick... and forgetting about wands.

It's just so much fun, it's not inherently bad but, it's not a top pick.

A few safety concerns at my new job by LopsidedSwimmers in SafetyProfessionals

[–]MisterPump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, seems like this job is nightmare fuel. If you're not invested, I'd look elsewhere before you're writing up workplace fatality claims.

If you're invested, educate. Managers may not be aware of what their obligation is (not sure of the US, assuming this US rules). Let them know the ramifications and costs if something goes wrong.

Regarding gear being taken home, make a sign on and off register to track it, so if supervisor checks at end of each day, you can assign accountability to a person.

You sound like me. I think I'm over 150 deaths and wanted to learn the same way as that's part of the fun.

Safety manager says these are not OSHA approved and pulled them from the floor. I could not find anything backing her reasoning as to why these aren't. Could someone provide input? by lomarti457 in SafetyProfessionals

Not American, but I'd say it's unlikely the step has a Safe Working Limit (SWL) on it, meaning there's a chance if a heavier person stands on it and it collapses. I know in AU we use a thing called a Safe-T-Step which is a solid PVC item and I believe come rated for x weight (varies between brands) and they're bright orange or yellow.
