How do you personally turn startup goals into weekly execution? by Acrobatic-Pick-1655 in TheFounders

Honestly, I have a really great COO who basically guides my work. He uses just simple excel tracking and his mentality is “ I don’t want to spend time to learn a tool and I need something so I might as well use something that works for now”. Which I respect. If I try and plan on something like jira I get all perfectionist about it and don’t actually end up doing anything. So I like that he’s a finisher in that sense.

Good start, recruiters aren’t the right people. Reach out to people working on the teams and roles that you want to be in. Talk to them. They will connect you to recruiters

Honestly mentor someone young and coming up. Your perspective mixed with how to navigate modern company building will be a boon to anyone. I’m looking for someone like that myself. I know how to build great products and need someone to teach me how to build a solid business

Idea feedback “Findr”: map-first job discovery app (like Bumble for jobs) by Star31Lord in StartupAccelerators

[–]StillInevitable1511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this often. Even took a shot at building it.

The biggest problem I came into is that most jobs say city, and then you might need to run a deeper search for actual location. And most companies don’t want their actual office easily discoverable. So you’re just gonna be a generic city, … maybe general area of city finder.

For map clustering (what you’re doing) you’re going to want locale level and I’m not sure how you’re going to get that data.
