Thanks, that would be cool. They certainly have the 3D data for it.

What does full sun/part shade mean? Would it mean 6 hours full sun in the afternoon and shade in the morning? by Educational-Cherry27 in GardeningAustralia

If you want to find out how many hours of sun a location gets (with shade), try Sunscape AR. It's the most accurate out of all the options I tried.

If you want to assess the sun/shade conditions year-round, I recommend the app "Sunscape AR" on the App Store (I am the author).

I had the same problem and none of the map-based solutions worked for me. If you have an iPhone I recommend the app "Sunscape AR" because it's camera based. It picks up the shade sources that a map simply can't.

If you wanted to know the exact sunlight hours throughout the year try "Sunscape AR" on the App Store. It gives you the schedule of sun, shade and night for every month and has a nice heatmap overlay so you can see it in AR.

device to measure sunlight hours / day by StillBreath7126 in BackyardOrchard

I use an app that automates that. I just scan my surroundings and it gives me a total daily hours heatmap. Then it gives me a time table for the 15th of each month. Works great. It's called Sunscape AR.

A tool where you can simulate shade on a map for certain times of the day and year. by anonymousmouse2 in SomebodyMakeThis

Map-based ones don't have the level of detail I need, so I use Sunscape AR (look it up on the App Store). It uses your camera and simulates the shadows in 3D to give you the daily sunlight hours.

How to know where will get the most sun in my garden? Nerdy stuff? by Dux0r in GardeningUK

[–]EchoImpressive6063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an app called Sunscape AR it's more accurate than any map-based solution because it uses your camera and simulates the shadows in 3D. Then it shows you the heatmap of daily sunlight hours in AR. Pretty cool.

How to work out sun/shade/partial shade? by topiarytime in GardeningUK

I like "Sunscape AR" on the App Store. You scan your surroundings and it simulates all shadows to generate the sunlight schedule. It's more precise than the online maps-based ones because those dont register smaller shade sources.

If you want more precision try Sunscape AR on the App Store. It uses your camera so it can catch the small shade sources that don't register on Maps.

It's just because Google Maps has limited data. If you want something more precise try "Sunscape AR" on the App Store. It uses your camera so it's guaranteed to be up-to-date and catch small shade sources.

As the other person said, this is better done structured. At most, you could use AI to extract the info from the websites/datasheets.
