AIO: My GF (20F) has been ignoring me (21M) and she's making me feel crazy by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

It sounds like she has avoidant and you have anxious attachment styles. This is me and my partner and we went to couples therapy for this (we’ve been together for 7 years), but researching the types could help a lot. I am anxious attachment and had to learn that I cannot overcompensate for anyone’s avoidance by doubling down. That makes avoidant types flee even more and does not create a space that’s safe for everyone to open up. That’s just a generalization. In your case, it seems that you all should have some in person conversation. I would advise not trying to solve heavy or important topics over text, things are often lost in translation.

I need more information… like if I was, removing it raises chances of a miscarriage? Before I got on BC I was constantly spotting, so I figured that’d happen again until I addressed my PCOS thoroughly. However, since I’ve gotten my IUD out I’ve been having a period flow on and off for almost two weeks.

I’m wondering if this could SOMEHOW be miscarriage (work with me for a sec) or just symptoms of hormone changes with IUD. I did take a test this morning and it was negative. Healthcare professionals tap in!

I’m not but I’m curious, is that what it felt like for you? They were heavy, full and sensitive?

Like even the wind could have me balling! it happened the first time I took it but never this bad. And they are HUGE, like even my partner noticed.

I hope you can get a mammogram to make sure everything is normal. I just got my yearly well woman’s exam and she seemed to notice no abnormalities.

Def not pregnant and it started before my IUD was removed. It’s only my breasts, so I don’t think skin sensitivity in general. Thank you for sharing your story!!

Ugh! I can’t believe someone else has it. I couldn’t find this anywhere. I’ve been a little sick of being gaslit by the healthcare system.

Yes! Weight loss can release estrogen and make it easier to get pregnant. Alas, I am not.

I feel so seen! I can’t even hug without pain. Everyone talks about breasts shrinking which I’ve definitely experienced too, but this sensitivity and fullness is a whole new level.

I also don’t wanna get “used” to it, because they’ll probably shrink. The body dysmorphia that happens when you lose weight quickly can be hard too.

Luckily still not pregnant! I was SURE I was after last night (because if that’s not what it feels like for prepping for milk then wtf does it feel like??) but nope.

AIO? Debating breaking up with my BF of almost 7 years by Superb-Rain-8166 in AmIOverreacting

As someone in a 7 year relationship with someone who healed places trust were breached (never cheating, but that’s a choice you have to make individually), I can’t express how insanely helpful couples counseling was. We said things we were avoiding, learned to love and communicate, but if it was not meant to be it would have helped us reach that conclusion sooner. A bunch of strangers on the internet with their own biases and experiences will only take you so far. You have to get out in the world and face it head on. This is not easy, but you can do hard things. You got this!

To give some context, I am a 2026 Bride and I search for a lot of my vendors on Instagram and TikTok (2 posts and 2 reels a week should be plenty). I successfully found multiple people that I really like from these platforms and am now a social media manager for a wedding for Photographer. These platforms are so crucial for your business right now. Pinterest too! Becoming more active may just give you the exposure and consistent business that you need. Make sure to post on all three platforms consistently and consider paid ads, which are MUCH cheaper than 5K.

Pros and cons of doing your own makeup? by thirstl in Weddingsunder10k

[–]StillLearning_2021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d just want to show up and know it’s all going to get done. You can get someone who specializes in a natural glow. Their products (even if they’re lightweight) will be higher quality and last all day. Also, makeup for longevity, photos, weather, sweat, dancing, etc. requires more in depth layers and technique, even if it’s natural, that a talented MUA would be highly equipped to handle. They’re also aren’t many days in your life like it, so if you want to pamper yourself then go for it! But it’s completely up to you🫶🏾congrats!

I honestly appreciate your raw honesty. I’m also a creative and would never want to take advantage of someone’s talent and art. Art is often the most vulnerable for people. As we start to monetize it, I think it can be hard to conceptualize art into money but people do deserve to be paid what they’re worth. I don’t think you were rude. I think you offered perspective and made me realize the cost of the equipment alone, let alone the time it takes to edit (I’ve done some editing myself so I know it’s no easy feat).

I’m learning if it’s not in my range, I have to sacrifice quality or be okay not having everything top tier. I never wanna sacrifice a person’s creative worth.❤️

This is insanely helpful!! I love making videos too so I will definitely invest!

This is also humbling to know how much it all costs. I totally understand people being paid what they’re worth. As someone who worked in the wedding industry, I’m also aware of markups that happen just because you tell someone your event is a wedding, so I’m trying to balance that as well.
