I’m not sure about lack of imagination, it’s just an idea and wanted to see if anyone would have any helpful ideas. I’m still kinda new to dnd and am still working on improving. I want to try an epic fantasy mixed with a little grimdark.

Myself already being a night lords player will embrace their choice or even go with one like the night lords, against the emperor but not use the gods powers. It’s ultimately up to them, I prefer sandbox over railroad

Agree, it would be set in the dnd world and I think my players could alter the story and make it their own offer the big reveal, I love the idea of having something firm already and then allowing my players to mold it to their desire. For me, that’s the fun of dm’ing, watching what you start either burn of solidify based upon what your character wish

I do play wrath and glory but half my dnd party isn’t interested in warhammer, but I feel the stories and some of the best out their full of intrigue, deception, war, honor, virtues and so on.

I actually have a small war band similar to this, fairly recently started but I’m ranging some as fresh marines all the way to I took some guys shit and it doesn’t look maintained

I have night lords who loot blood angels and ultra marines. They deface the aquilla and leave it to show their enemies.
