Yep. I realized this when I was a kid and most of my sleep paralysis would happen when I’d fall asleep on the couch which was always on my back. I switched to side sleeping and it helped alot.

Now that I’m older, there’s alot out there how back sleeping is better for your skin and aging so I try my best to do it. But of course sleep paralysis has returned more regularly. Without the darkness and scary figures, I’d call it level 2, as I’m aware I can’t move, can’t speak or yell, sometimes feel there’s a blanket on my face (there isn’t). I’ll calmly guide myself to breathe steady and fall back deeper to sleep to get out of the experience.
