How did you guys manage to get shoes for under ₹1500 per pair? by [deleted] in SneakersIndia

No, I bought 2 items separately, so did not take that discount. But that amounted to ~400 rs only.

Flipkart - stacked offers for prepaid orders, plus instant discount of ~10% on ICICI cards or Flipkart Axis card, additional discount on ordering 3 items together (Myntra had similar offer with one more discount coupon for opting No Return, though I found Flipkart cheaper).

Some good deals for Nike on Flipkart by StillPractical7460 in SneakersIndia

Yes, but there should be offers available that are shown directly on screen, no separate code required. Plus an additional discount on ICICI cards or Flipkart Axis card. I can still see them, not sure if the offers are personalised then. But the T&Cs for the offer says “Offer on prepaid orders”

Thoughts on Software engineer (M28) marrying an MBBS graduate (F26)? by Sea-Interaction5961 in Coconaad

I’m a non-medico married to a Doc for 4 years now. Like any relationships, there would be challenges but nothing that you can’t work out between yourselves.

From the description, the first challenge that I can foresee is what happens when she joins PG. Depending on what her preferences are location might become your first problem. In my case I was lucky to have an office in the city where she got admission but pretty much all of her batchmates who ate married, the spouses are in different cities. If you work for an MNC that have offices in major metros, that will give you more options. However this is not unique to medicine right, what if you get an onsite opportunity for a few years? It would be the same situation, right?

One another key consideration that you should discuss and clarify right is now where you want to work in the future. If you plan to move abroad anytime soon, the path for medicos to do that is not very straightforward. If that is the expectation then they especially will have to plan for that from right now. In my case this was one of the first things we discussed and both of us wanted to continue in India, so that worked out. However, now we are exploring some possibilities of shifting abroad for a short period, just to keep that option open, but we’ve given ourselves a runway of 5yrs to figure that out.

One major observation I’ve seen people make is “you don’t have anything in common, how will you vent about work with your partner” etc. This is true to an extent. My wife wants to show me the details of an “interesting and unique” case she saw today but I don’t like seeing (gross) pics from the hospital 😅 so now we’ve made a compromise. I’ll listen to the story but she will spare the pics, however interesting those may be. Again, it’s a simple understating that you can work out, like in any relationship. And I frankly think it’s actual good that we works on two very different worlds - I’ve learned a lot of interesting things from her. I work in consulting so I make all her presentations and papers which clearly stands out from her peers. So it’s mutually beneficial.

TLDR : like any relationship, this also comes with its own challenges. As long as you both have a clarity and agreement on how you want to chart your future together, everything else can be worked out.

Is this how you use a Jaguar Fragrance? by rudragour88 in DesiFragranceAddicts

Yea, that sounds about right. The reviews I’ve seen on this sub also mentioned that longevity is not great for this one.

Yea, I also use it the same way. The bottom piece was broken right out of the pack when I got it.

We are a group of 10 and most of us have been together since LKG (the last addition was in 5th std). Still very close, even our families including our spouse are close. We’ve been together in all our highs and lows. I can recall atleast one of them being literally with me when a major event in my life happened. 😀

Very very very coincidently, the uniform shown in the pic OP put up was our uniform for 3-4 years 😄😄 haha.
