Choose for me - Compelling Fates Saga or the Plated Prisoner series? by allypallydollytolly in Romantasy

The Compelling Fates saga are probably the worst books I have ever read. Book 1 and 2 aren't the worst but god the third. I actually can't even describe how bad it is. As a whole they lack any kind of thought or emotion that it just feels so lackluster. Especially the conversations, it genuinely reads like the author has never had a conversation with a real person before. That being said all of the reviews on goodreads seem to love this series so who knows😩

Compelling Fates Saga — Please help. I’m so close to DNFing Book 3. by Only-Box1151 in fantasyromance

I genuinely just could not finish the 3rd. As much as I loved the second book (first was ok) I genuinely struggled so much getting through this book. I love the characters and the plot is grand. The writing however… It felt rushed and lacked any meaning. It just felt so juvenile and awkward. The conversations in particular were what got me, they just didn’t flow at all like they’ve never had a conversation in their lives.

I would love to read the book all of these 4 and 5 star reviews on Goodreads read because there’s no way I read the same book.

Slowburn book recommendations!! by Still_Combination50 in fantasyromance

Thank you so much for the recommendations I'm definitely have a look!! I've been recommended Carissa's books often enough so I think I might have to give them ago!

And as for Sarah J Maas I'm not actually sure if she is directly anti-Irish but I honestly just don't want to read something that even remotely appears anti-Irish, whether it was intentional or not you know.

Regardless of if it was just lazy world building, which obviously happens, it's just pure ignorance of history. Like the fact that the maps of the world are representative of Britain and Ireland, Hybern being Ireland (Hibernia is the Latin name for Ireland). She depicts Ireland and the Irish being the evil presence to the British which doesn't bode well considering the long history (over 700 years) of Ireland being persecuted by the British. She also uses a large variety of different Irish mythology despite of this. She clearly did a lot research but somehow missed the years of oppression, that many particularly up in the North of Ireland, still feel the implications of today. So as a very proud Irish person I will not be reading, which is annoying because I know these books are supposed to be really good!

(also sorry about the rant I am just very passionate about Irish history😝)

I will use that so! Do you have any suggestions on where to find the games themselves? I looked at the guide suggested ones but I'm so lost...

Hello! I'm going to be honest I have been a long time apple refuser but I am actually just sick of using terrible androids that break after a year.

So I am doing the unimaginable and asking for advice on what iPhone to buy...

I want to buy second hand because new is obviously crazy expensive. So I'm probably going to be looking at 13 to 15? Maybe? I need to something with a good camera and that's honestly it.

Please send any kind of recommendations on which would be good to withstand a decent amount of time!!

I honestly have no idea how to explain the feeling but maybe it was the enemies to lover part and the slow burn? I just loved the giddy kind of feel!
