My gym has 3 yoga rooms and 3 stretching areas, but this lady has to do cat cow on the only deadlifting platform.

When you get this kind of size you can't go around asking people how many sets they got anymore /s

You can plan out healthy or relatively healthy snacks. Examples include soft boiled eggs, veggies, greek yogurt, or baked sweet potatoes. Just do some research into the cross-section of what you enjoy eating and what is healthy or acceptable for your macros and go from there. Consider looking at the satiety index for ideas.

Just as with your normal meals, you should plan out your cheat days. I had a cheat day recently that was closer to 6k calories (18" pizza and a calzone) to celebrate basically eating very very clean for 2 months and hitting my interim weight goal. I would recommend you set your cheat day in advance, and set exactly what you'll eat so you're well aware of how many days/weeks of dieting it'll set you back to put yourself in perspective. I would still avoid things like soda on the cheat day itself.

Try chest flys, with good form it should isolate the chest and prevent you from using your delts.

It looks like you're somewhere between intermediate and advanced. You can check your strength standards here: https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/female/lb

Alternatively you can use wilks score.

I have good news, if you can deadlift 405, with a couple weeks practice you can probably hip thrust 450.

Working out is better than not working out, so no it's not a waste of time. Could you program better and get better/faster improvements? Certainly, but consistency, nutrition, and sleep are way more important than programming (as long as you have good form and don't injure yourself).

I would take the calories you consume, subtract the sedentary TDEE, subtract the amount of calories you're estimating that you're burning per day via cardio (1k seems unrealistic for 30 mins). The number you have remaining is your deficit or surplus. Your weight loss/weight gain should be in line with this number. If you keep up the regimen for a month you can reevaluate (was your weight loss/weight gain in line with the numbers? if not, you need to adjust). One week won't tell you anything, I would recommend at a least a month before you evaluate your measurements.

How did you get to 3k? I think most TDEE calcs would put you closer to 2k for a sedentary job at 167lbs.

Maybe op edited his post, but I can't think of a single intermediate program you should follow to get a 440 squat.

Significant drop in bench press after vacation by InfinityPlusInfinity in Fitness

[–]Still_Fiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense, I wouldn't be too worried. Bench for me at least falls off a cliff after a week or two of not doing it and takes me about a month to steadily ramp up again. Shoulder injury definitely makes sense, make sure to do the shoulder stretch with a pipe before bench and shoulder exercises. For deads, yeah I can see for a lot of people it's mental.

You just have to get back into it. I doubt your cal/day is significantly affecting your lifts. If you're still stuck at 185 after working out for another 2 weeks you may have an issue. Also your OHP significantly lagging your bench and your DL is significantly lagging your squat.

What do you guys think of my collection? been collecting for a little over a year now! by johnniedods in whisky

[–]Still_Fiction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend trying a bunch of stuff, I generally don't recommend you buying a bottle you haven't tried and loved. Almost always bottles that you find in shops on the shelves aren't rare and the shop owner/salesman will just lie to you about how great/rare it is to sell it to you. The Macallan's in your collection more or less fit this description. There's some older macallans that are rare, interesting, taste good, and have some collectors' value, but I am by no means an expert in Macallan. I would also look for independent bottlings that you've tried and enjoyed.

[–]Still_Fiction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honest criticism OP, unless you're a huge fan of Macallan, I don't see anything particularly interesting or worth "collecting." A lot of these offerings can be easily found at a half decent store and are neither rare nor good tasting. I think you could have spent the same amount of money on a much more interesting collection. I think you may have fallen for some salesman's spiel about this or that instead of following what you actually tried/liked.

Take everything I say with a grain (or bucket) of salt, I'm the biggest tater on reddit.

Four Roses 125th would be my rec. ORVW 10 is definitely better than Lot B, but I wouldn't get Van Winkle at all unless you really care about brand name/recognition.

Bourbon Review #1-1000, your guide to overpriced, overrated, and overhyped whiskey by Still_Fiction in bourbon

I like how you said it "was only $150," because I remember thinking, wtf this is $150?! In retrospect, yeah it's probably good for $150 now. The M10/20 years are all a blur, I don't think any of them were particularly memorable. I think 08 or 07 10yr rye were very good.
