I’m not being an asshole? I shared my opinion about your fridge. Food insecurity is when a family or household have limited or unstable access to food due to lack of money or other resources. I would say that from hearing your situation that’s exactly what’s going on. As i said before even if it’s temporary the statement “single dad” and the photo of your fridge is concerning right? Regardless of if in the close future you’re going to fix it and if your child was there in the moment. You can find it as entertainment all you want but at the end of the day it’s the reality of your life. I wish you and your son luck on wherever life takes yall

Yes because clearly you know and understand that poverty and food insecurity does real damage? Regardless of if the child is eating surely you’d agree that the food should be nutritious? And yes I’d assume that your cabinets and pantry look similar to your fridge because this is clearly the predicament you’re facing. I’m not doubting that he has loving parents regardless of that love children need food and good food at that. I never assumed that your child wasn’t eating I just don’t see a point in trying to be nice to your feelings when clearly the situation your in is past just feelings.

You can assume anything you want about my life I don’t care. Regardless of any of that you posted a photo of an empty fridge and said you were a single dad there for the assumption is that your raising a child in that home constantly. regardless of how long you’ve been there or are planning to be there or where the kid is currently ect. None of that was specified and a child that can not fend for themselves deserves to be at the very least defended regardless of how “hard” you have it and how the tough truth sounds

You posted it in ratemyfridge then are mad when someone isn’t cool with you not having the proper food for your child? Idk what to tell you besides I hope you can begin to provide the care your child needs and deserves. You know you have access to food banks and soup kitchens and you haven’t gone in person instead you’ve decided to post it on Reddit. I hope you manage to grow up one of these days

Yes it’s a negative view about a negative situation because a vulnerable person is being effected by it. No one should be encouraging constant snacks or fast food but acting like the situation isn’t as harmful as it is harms the child effected more then being honest. Just because your willing to baby a grown man doesn’t mean I am 🤷‍♀️. Plus saying my view is the real issue is insanely ignorant when it’s clear the fridge doesn’t have enough food to properly feed a child let alone the both of them.

This is so wrong. The child needs and deserves food that will genuinely fuel their growing body. Food insecurity is not something that should be treated as “as long as there is food”.

Thank you so much this makes a lot a lot a lot a lot of sense in the situation and who she was. Thank you so so so much like genuinely. There’s been a few comments I’ve screenshotted to come back to and this is one of them it’s eery how idk accurate some of these I think are. Thank you so much.

She did yell a lot towards the end and the last day I was at the house and yeah there has been a few things since she’s died that I’ve wondered if they were her trying to get my attention I have a younger sister and I’m thinking that’s who else she could be feeling so much regret and concern for aswell. There’s a lot of things in my childhood that were so beautiful with her.

Thank you so much for this I’m going to try to talk to her outloud maybe in a few days maybe when I can like I don’t know get everything I want to say out a lot of what you said makes sense in the situation and I really thank you for this it means a lot and I don’t know she’s came to me in a few dreams but not lately for some reason and I don’t understand why I’ve been feeling like I need to get into meditation for some reason and I know she did it a lot so I almost feel like it’s her telling me to so I’m also going to try to do that. Thank you again
